This first part is just generally informative.
There are going to be classes, ect. It will have combat oriented classes, and non-combat oriented classes, with up to three characters per person.
The system will be explained on the third post, the second post, explaining classes and equipment.
Sectors
The United Terran Alliance (The Terran Sector)- Sol, Alpha Centauri, Praxis, Vladimir, Mirage
The Tyran Protection Pact (The Tyran Sector)- Titan, Cronus, Matar, Zosma
The United Kane Sector Alliance (The Kane Sector)- Raidon, Zen, Ronin, Li, Shing.
The Ison League (The Isonol Sector): Orion, Queen, Orus, Atlas
Planets and Systems-
These are planets individuals can be picked to come from. Each one has there own uniqueness to them, and will affect how your character is viewed by their fellows. Remember, this is a galaxy with great prejudice, and nationalistic pride.
Sol
Earth – Mars
Government: The Terran Solar Alliance of Terra
Empire’s Influence: The TSA
Species: Humans
System of Government: Fascistic
Systems allied to Solaris: Alpha Centauri, Praxis, Vladimir, Mirage
The United Solar Alliance of Terra is the motherland, the worlds that lead to the great leap out into space, and are now under the rule of the Terran Socialist Party, elected in… 120 years ago. Through popularity, they abolished the real democratic values of Earth, and quickly removed dissidents.
Through the generations, the youth have become more and more programmed. When the TSP tells someone to jump, they do. Often only the upper class is not fanaticized, and this is often because they are expected to be the leaders.
Earth however, environmentally, is once again a stunning thing to behold. Forests and grasslands have been very much restored, despite increases in human populations. Humans are managing their space far more efficiently, and waste is a thing of the past through advanced recycling and reusing. Many of the earth’s citizens are lucky to see such beauty, as much of the environment is now allowed within cities, to a reasonable amount, of course.
Mars is still a red ball of dust, but plantlife is still abundant, just not as much as Earth’s. Tall trees and the like are just not common, short plants and trees are typical, and Mars’ population is only 4 billion, as opposed to Earth’s 10 billion. Most people of Mars typically have similar lives to those on earth, just with more limited technology, and rocky terrain.
The average human’s childhood on earth is not easy, it is hard, and often filled with propaganda, and showing how ‘glory’ and ‘honor’ are brought to one, and their family, through service.
The Emperor of the Alliance is Richard Erikson.
Titan
Titus-Darius
Government: The Titan Union
Empire’s Influence: Titan was one of the first major colonies outside of Solar System. Because of this, it has a good deal of influence on other colonies in its region, and is often seen as the point leaders for the other colonies around them.
Species: Predominantly Human
System of Government: Republic of the Wealthy, Dictatorship
Systems Allied to Titan: Cronus, Matar, Zosma
The Titan Union is a rising power in its sphere of influence. It was founded by the very wealthy, bringing along a large force of underpaid workers from around Earth and Mars. Its focus has always been production and industry, and never quite so much environment, every after the 20 years it took to terraform.
Industry on Titus is high, even for its smaller population. Titus also has multiple satellites colonies circling it, and its star, Titan.
There are forests and large oceans on Titus, but are not highly maintained, and pollution is a problem. Darius is not as bad, and seems to focus on maintaining its environment moreso, but it is the smaller of the two colonies.
The culture on both worlds is a strict class system. Nationalism is not as large here, as loyalties have withered with time between the lower and upper class. This is truly a world with no middle class.
Religion is a large factor on the planet, with the Star Clan, a new age religion, being the main premiere, often speaking of a better life through positive thinking, and loyalty. It may or may not be state sponsored.
Through the Generations, the populace has become all around more skeptical, but the only thing Titans typically dislike more then there government, are unwanted foreigners from outside the broad region. They distrust most humans coming from the Terran Sector especially.
They are lead by the Senate, no clear leader is shown. However, it is implied that their secret organization, the Psicorps, may have a greater hand then shown.
Raidon
Raidon 2- Raidon 5-(Spectar 2)
Government: The Raidon Empire
Empire’s Influence: Of the predominantly Oriental area that migrated from earth sees Raidon, the strongest of the Kane Sector, as their biggest friend, trading partner, and military backup. All colonies are near equal, as with most states, but Raidon particularly stands out, just barely. It holds great sway with most people’s in the region, especially for working with the alien creatures that originally inhabited the system.
Species: Humans, Spectar
System of Government: Monarchy
Systems Allied to Raidon: Zen, Ronin, Li, Shing.
Raidon was founded by a group of Japanese scientists predominantly in its earlier years. Working with the local Spectar, a lizard like alien species which called these worlds home, the Japanese were quick to establish a major colony here. Immigration changed the culture quickly however, as harder edged individuals moved there.
Soon, the society adopted a new system of government over Democracy, a Monarchy, after a bloody and long civil war, which had the Spectar caught in the middle. The current leader of Raidon is Emperor Nao, who rules with an iron fist.
Technology is advanced on Raidon, and the system is hard, constantly pushing each generation to be better then the last.
The Spectar can live in the human cities, outside of the jungles or their own cities, but often do not, merely having a reprehensive there.
Raidans are taught to be loyal, and to die for country if they must. They see the Emperor as God, and always watch towards the Star, Raidon, as it sheds light down upon them, giving life to the world.
Military service is often glorified.
Orion
Lenin-Kerensky
Government: The Federated Orion Planets
Empire’s Influence: Orion is the premiere power of the Ison League, and is one of the few nation planets that can produce on a level that earth can, it is the industrial base for all of the other systems that are in the League, merely feeding it manpower. Its influence is completely dominating on the other systems around it, Atlas being the only other system that can even sustain itself, and being the chief ally of Orion.
Species: Predominantly Human, Minority Thanian
System of Government: Democratic Communist State
Systems Allied to Orion: Queen, Orus, Atlas
This system, unlike most others, was founded by the little guy, the men coming out into space looking for new lives to escape poverty and strife. They had little financial backing, and made do with what they could in small communities.
The environments are typically cold, and barren, but with enough plant life and farms to keep the large population satisfied.
The advanced aliens who live in the Orion System traded with the Orians frequently, and quickly the system’s economy started to pick up.
The predominantly Russian colony did go to an old route many other colonies worried about, a Communistic society. However, there were no mass killings on this world. There were no Gulags. They recognized one could never have complete equality, and merely set up the system for complete legal equality, and fiscal equality among those who were in a certain level.
But for the most part, due to its amazing income, the state gives out equal, yet generous things to the people, even with mandatory military service for younger people. The Thanian natives eventually joined in, allowing their cities, exempt from communistic rules, to join the Federation.
The current ruler is Comrade-President Spencer Rosso, elected by fair democratic means 2 years early. The next election is in 4 years.
The government does not tell the whole truth to the “equal” populace, of course, however does usually serve for their best interests.
