One Quest evening at "Alboria, The Bottled World"
"Hmmm" Mea scratches her head, "quests, there where so many of them!"
Mea continues to ponder for a while *ponder* *ponder* *ponder* *ponder* ........
"But!!, one seem to stand out ..."
"It happened in Hilfar, sometime during the light of day, a colorful character seem to appear out of thin air, and he called adventurers to his side."
"Heed this well" the man in the colored outfit said, I am Loki, God of Mischief and Trickery, and I am in need of some stalwart adventurers!"
Mea noticed that his voice boomed all over the world of alboria and was heard by many and ignored by some.
A few Heroic figures entered Hilfar, to answer the calling of this God Loki, one among those was a eastern Looking Monk going by the name of Satoka Kitayama, and Mea noticed that this Sato was listening intently to the words of this God of Trickery!
Loki's voice (somewhat toned down) said: " I need you people to find some chests for me, they are hidden somewhere near here in Hilfar, and for those who find them there will be a reward of an Godly Token!"
Mea saw Sato's face light up, as if she had a vision, then the God said "GO!!"
And without further ado, the adventurers scattered in various directions, Mea how ever kept her eye on this Eastern woman, who made a bee-line to the Hilfar Barracks, and very soon there after Mea heard the God say " Sato is the winner, she found the first chest!"
Sato came walking out of the Barracks with a Huge smile on her face, and presented herself to this Loki.
The God said, with a benevolent grin, " here is your Token Sato, well done!"
Then the God said "But there's more! (for some reason Mea got a vision of steak knives) I have another chest hidden, but this time , it is in a more difficult place to find!" Eying Sato with a slight evil look.
Everyone was paying close attention to the Gods words and where waiting for his command ....
The God Muttered quietly "GO!"
And once more the adventurers took off in search of these mysterious chests, and once more Mea noticed Sato have a moment of illumination, nearly as if this eastern woman was in touch with her God, or as if she knew this Loki better than most, since Sato ran full speed to the Keep, this time however closely followed by another, who obviously noticed Sato's previous prowess at finding chests.
Mea used her Clairvoyance to follow the two, in the keep they went, down corridors and into the Captain's Office where Sato appeared to stand and let her elven sense of search catch up, a trap door appeared near the good Captain, which Sato promptly opened, and the follower jumped in to the Cellar of this place, leaving Sato one tenth of a second behind, Mea noticed that this Monk sure could run, easily twice as fast than most people and thus she caught up to the follower, in the nick of time to snatch the chest away from him.
Soon there after the God Loki announced that once more Sato had prevailed, and had won another Godly token, which Sato seem to accept with bemusement, thanking the God Sato turned around to seek her follower and then gave the Token to him, with a bow and a thank you, Sato turned away and Using her God given Powers, Boomed to the whole of the world:
"Good Night Alboria "
And disappeared to where ever she came from.
As if burned into her memory this Paladine will remember the remarkable look on the face of the God of Mischief and Trickery.
It said "well that was Most interesting, who was that woman, I shall keep an eye open for her" and then the God disappeared.
So ends this tale of quests, and I am sure that one day I will recall it and tell the story to my children, who will listen too with a certain amount of awe, because it is not everyday that a mere mortal bests a God at his own Game
