Written by Warren Ellis; Art and cover by J.H. Williams III Get ready for DESOLATION JONES, the new bimonthly ongoing series that's the unique product of the imagination of Warren Ellis (PLANETARY, OCEAN) and the eye-popping visual imagery of J.H. Williams III (PROMETHEA!) Desolation Jones - the lone survivor of a horrific experiment called the Desolation Test - just lived through a full year of constant, sleepless agony. A former British intelligence operative, the retired Jones is making ends meet in the private sector as a detective-for-hire to the covert community of ex-spooks who are living whatever life they can in L.A. It's a dirty, ugly job, but someone has to do it - and that man is Desolation Jones. 32 pg, FC Edited by Scott Dunbier $2.99I've had a permanent erection ever since I heard about this book. I mean, how can I not have one after hearing that Warren Ellis and J.H. Williams III were the creators on this? This is going to be great and all of you gidgets need to get this! I'm pretty sure that most of you will. Silva, you've never read any Warren Ellis before, right? You need to get this. -SHARK DIGGLER

Got the first issue of this. Not sure if I'm going to continue getting it or not, though. Interesting in its own way, but not quite the sort of thing that interests me.

Not even with the thinly veiled Jeronimus Corneliszoon?
Best Ellis book in about 4 years, I think.

I think Ocean is better. But yeah, 'Jerry Cornelius' made me smile

Hmmm, yeah, Ocean is pretty good.
However:
Sprouse V. JHW3? Gotta take JH, and I love Sprouse.

The first issue was great. I loved Ocean, but I have to agree with Duncan Donuts, Desolation Jones was better.
Anyone who ain't reading this yet should be ashamed of themselves. -SHARK DIGGLER

the story really doesn't interests me at all...but the art is gorgeous (as usual by Williams)...tempted on buying it for the art alone.
