Spoiler WarningWell, now... First story over, and we now know that Tim is the 'real' Tim... Excellent stuff! Can't wait to see where Si Spencer goes with this next, especially now Tim is returned to the DCU proper - or the part that he usually inhabits.... I'm not surprised at the Cat/Dog/Molly thing, somehow... Nor at Constantine's unbelievably convoluted plans. This is certainly one of my favourite titles right now

This IS my current favorite title! It's been magnificent! Loved the first story arc, but I'm definitely going to miss Cat and Dog. Hope they somehow show up again. I also hope that Constantine continues to be a big player in the book, it'll keep things fun. Like Elliot, I can't wait to see where the book goes from here. Good to see Yo-Yo back, even though he was kinda really there the whole time. Can't wait for more issues, this book is magick! ;D -SHARK DIGGLER

I'm hoping for the Trenchcoat Brigade, not just Constantine... And I'm definitely wanting to know what's happened to the 'real' Molly. She's always been a good match for Tim.

I've got some bad news: THE BOOKS OF MAGICK: LIFE DURING WARTIME #15
Written by Si Spencer; Consulting by Neil Gaiman; Art by Dean Ormston; Cover by Duncan Fegredo
In the explosive grand finale of the series, Tim Hunter, his owl Yo-Yo and his new partner-in-crime Jackie tie up loose ends in London. But at what cost to the planet at large? And one of the main players won't live to see the light of a new day. Final issue.
Vertigo | 32pg. | Color | $2.75 US | Mature Readers
On Sale October 19, 2005 Damn it! [Censored]!!!! Why does it have to end so soon? It was so beautiful. -SHARK DIGGLER

Yeah, I agree, Shark. Darn shame. This has been a very good story from the start and only got better as it went on. I wish DC would reconsider, but I doubt they will.
Considering the number of adults reading comics, why more of them don't read comics aimed AT adults I will never know...

I think it's a bit've a push to say a book with a proto-Harry Potter hero is specifically aimed at adults.
I stopped this around #4 or so; it was pretty decent fare, but very Vertigo genotype... Actually, I'm not really sure why, it just didn't totally get me going.

Duncan... Right from the original mini series, BoM has handled a lot of mature themes and definitely been aimed at adults. I know, because I've been reading from the start That said - it may not be your kind of title, but at least you were willing to try it, and I know you DO read adult titles. I'm not saying ALL readers of adult titles should read BoM, as tastes obviously differ

No, you're kinda right. I've read the Gaiman and first 4-5 Rieber GNs, so I was keen to try this, and a Quitely (or Fegredo) cover never hurts.
I'd agree it's adult insomuch as a lot of comics are comparatively very juvenile, but I read the above when I was (I think) 15 or so, and they were fine then, and a lot less homogenous than most kids entertainment.
N.B. The 'proto-Harry Potter' comment is serious; Gaiman mentioned the similarities when that schoolboy broke out worldwide, made a few papers.

Oh, I know, Duncan. A lot of comic fans down the years have wondered why Gaiman never pursued it as Harry Potter looks SO much like a rip-off of Tim, even down to the owl. And I'd bet you were more adult at 15 than a lot of adults, knowing you

In some ways. In others, not so much.
Gaiman's reasoning was pretty similar to Morrison's re: Matrix, iirc.

Impossible to prove, right? Which it pretty much is.

Well, no. Just that they both weren't really interested in going to court because, like most creative types, they don't really like that stuff. I know Gaiman did against McFarlane, but as far as I can see that was an absolute lock.

Heh. A new Constantine, huh? And she's a dodgy chancer. Guess some things never change ;D Another good issue, though.

Well, well. Poor old Tim. Another great issue, though, and the new Constantine is definitely cool. And funny. Which goes a long way Will Tim destroy the world he made? I wonder...
