The return of Diana Mod!
I-Ching is back!
A simplified Donna origin!
Justice League of America, Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Aquaman and Wonder Woman. I don't think DC's big icons have been this good ate the same time since..well, ever.
Now if they could do something good with Flash and stop Winnick from spilling his crap over Green Arrow, I would be 100% happy.

I haven't read the long overdue second issue yet. That said, I did read and enjoy the first issue, and plan to pick up the second. That having been said, I like the idea of Donna as Wonder Woman. I rather liked the setup for the series, and I want to see where Heinberg goes with this. If it streamlines Donna to the point where she's simple and reasonably comprehensible, then I certainly won't object to that either. Hopefully, Heinberg can continue with this and not mire the story in needless retcons as he's done before. I'm reasonably optimistic so far, but we'll see.

The first issue merely called her "Diana's sister", which taken into account that the whole "WW came into Patriarch's world after CoIE" is already retconned is as much origin as it's needed, it doesn't really leave out either the Dark Angel/Titans of Myth origin so I suppose it's still there if someone else wants to reference it someday.
The second issue is as good as the first one. Nothing complex about the nature of the human mind or whatever, but just really entertaining. Shame Heinberg is only staying for six issues.
And I like Dodson's art. It's cheesecake, yeah, but in a fun way. Not quite "OK, Jim, I'm shameless, I want an ass shot"

When is Wonder Woman not cheesecake, really? She's always been about cheesecake. That said, when done right, Wonder Woman can be reasonably tasteful in the way cheesecake is presented. So far, I have no problems with Dodson there. He's a good fit for the series. As long as it doesn't go overboard, and it really hasn't so far, I don't have any issues with the art. Regarding Donna... well, probably best just to ignore all the headache-inducing stuff. Call her Donna's sister and leave the rest out unless absolutely needed for some reason. The only time I can see her past even being an issue is if the Titans of Myth show up... and frankly, after Return of Donna Troy, I'd be happier if they didn't. I'll probably talk more about the second issue next week sometime, I hope. Looking forward to reading it.

Another decent issue from Heinberg. I think Wonder Woman right now is more a good, solid superhero comic than anything else. Which isn't a bad thing to be. Now here's hoping the next issue doesn't need another three months to come out. ;D

I like the return of the Lion of Olympus. Hercules is a nice character and hopefully this will erase the stupid and creepy Champion version of the character introduced in the horrible Byrne run.
