Let alone Morrison's 7S stuff, which has to be the most successful revamps/reincarnations of old properties for many years. Who doesn't prefer the new Guardian to the old one? Just as one example...

Avi probably thinks the new Guardian is responsile for 9/11; via a time/space reverso spell.
God, has anyone seen his blog? Byrne Robotics rules in comparison.

The grammar on blog his made mind blow up mine. Virtually unreadable, although I did get a chuckle out of quaint phrases like 'ultra-establishment Newsarama.'

To tie this up in a nice little bow, let's bring this full circle with a quote I just found via Barbelith, which if we're being honest with each other, is literally the best quote evar!Neurotic Boy Outsider: Any chance of a Doom Patrol reunion?
GM: I can't imagine doing any more Doom Patrol ever. Tom Peyer, I believe, is doing something with the '90s DP, and he's the only person I'd trust not to ruin my beloved characters. John Byrne has entertained numerous schemes over the years and will probably end up doing something with Doom Patrol -- like making it exactly the way it was in his youth but with enough of a Byrne spin to make everyone hate it.He saw the future!

Cool GM quote there, Brett. Definitely spooky! ;D
Having read GM's Doom Patrol, I think you'd need someone like Milligan or Delano to pick up where GM left off. It's FAR too out of left field for most writers to even attempt.

Pollack's was apparently dead weird, but in a bad way. Has a few diehards.

That's from the NPO message board back in 1999--I remember seeing it, too... In fact, I remember finding it months ago! Here's the URL: www.madwomb.com/madwomb/web/npo/community/index.html
