I think this week I'll only get the Seven Soldiers books. Nothing else interests me.

Seven Soldiers: Mr. Miracle #4 Seven Soldiers: Frankenstein #3 Tom Strong #36 Tomorrow Stories Special #2 Fell #4
Maybe Authority Revolution Vol. 2 TPB. Wasn't that enthused about Vol. 1, is Vol. 2 any good anyone?
Pretty crappy scheduling by DC to have just one OYL title this week, and Firestorm at that. I even bought Outsiders last week, which was a waste, though in my defence I didn't get sucked in by JSA, so I sort of Bizarro-broke even. I'd have probably given, say Green Arrow a look, but Firestorm just doesn't get even that. With the volume of DC stuff still to come out, like 52, it looks like it's going to get squeezed out pretty quickly.

Vol 2 of Revolution is okay; the first issue (#7) is definitely to my mind the best of the run. Not vital though.
I got the same as Brett except I'm going to probably wait for the TS special trade and a rainy day, or possibly not ever bother. Oh, and I got Ultimate Hulk v. Wolverine #2 from the other week.
OYL is pretty much a dead duck for me; I think I'll definitely get 52, and I'm getting the Robinson Batman crossover and the onto Morrison/Kubert, but otherwise... maybe that Secret Six, if I get a job soon. Can't really think of much else that excites.

It was ok. I don't think he's missing much. As long as he's getting Captain America, Deadly Genesis and Daredevil, he's getting properly Brubakered.
But then again, it was a slow week.
I don't think I'll go to the store until saturday, so can anyone spoil me Mr. Miracle #4?

I think Authority was better than Genesis (so far) ... but I'm not a huge fan of the "X". Cap and Daredevil however .... HOLY SHEET !!!! Simply amazing.

Mr. Miracle is kind of eh to me, Hector. The last issue is basically the kind of bizarre reality shifts that you might expect from Morrison. Which, if I'm honest, the last issue of Zatanna pulled off far better. I think I have some idea of what the Sheeda are trying to do in Mr. Miracle, but it's still left rather vague. I still think you could miss the whole of this mini and not miss the larger picture Morrison is trying to construct. That said, I enjoyed Frankenstein quite a bit. I love Morrison's take on the Bride. As for Bru... I'm loving Daredevil and enjoying Books of Doom. The rest, though, I'm not so keen on. He's a good writer, but I think he does crime noir best.

You didn't like his Cap, Steve ? I thought they way he returned Bucky was very well thought out and extremely well written ... It was only 5,000 times better than the way Tim Drake was "returned"

I don't like Bru's take on Cap's personality, Perry. Bru is good on dark, flawed characters, but not so much with bright, shiny heroes like Cap. He focuses too much on Cap as a soldier. From the early issues I read, I found him too willing to use lethal force, too reckless, and not enough of a symbol. To me, Steve Rogers is the man Gruenwald and Waid wrote about. I don't get that from Brubaker.
I did check out the last issue with Sin and Crossbones, out of interest of what he'd do with Sin. I did like his take on them. If he did an ongoing series with them, I'd buy it. But then, Bru is vastly better with deeply flawed characters.

Steve and EK are both kinda hardline about Gruenwald Cap, Perry. It's best to leave it, I think. I love Bru, but I've really narrowed my Authority love to - basically - the Nativity, the first Millar/Quitely arc. Nothing else seems to work for me, relatively. I expect this too change very soon, though. It's hard to spoil Mr. M, Hec. It's a kinda ramshackle 'Best Man Fall' across - well - hypertime sorta. It's quite, if not life-affirming, reassuring. Happy ending.

It was only 5,000 times better than the way Tim Drake was "returned" Yeah, but that's simply because Brubaker is an excellent writer. And Winnick is one step behind of a monkey with a typewriter. Thus, the return of Bucky was one of the best stories of the year. And the return of Jason Todd was piece of [Censored] just like most of what Winnick writes. It's hard to spoil Mr. M, Hec. It's a kinda ramshackle 'Best Man Fall' across - well - hypertime sorta. It's quite, if not life-affirming, reassuring. Happy ending. Aw, well. I guess I'll just have to dload it..

El and I do have a pretty firm view of who Cap is, true. If you guys love Bru's version, that's cool. It's just not my thing. Different strokes and all.

I said Tim Drake !! I guess that shows how much of an impression I got from THAT story line huh ? ;D Tim Drake ... Uggg ... Yes of course I meant Jason Todd. And Yes, I know of Steve's thoughts on "this" Cap ;D Tell ya what though man ... This last arc really had more of an emotional epic tone to it than Caps thoughts/ideas on taking a life. IF you get a chance, you should borrow someones copy and give it a quick run through.

Aw, well. I guess I'll just have to dload it.. Good luck! I spent last night and this morning when I woke up trying to dl this and Frank #3. Couldn't find them at all. Teen Titans and Firestorm on the other hand were everywhere in all their glory. Only 8 more hours until work's finished, then they (7S, not the other 2) will be mine! ;D

Cap's my favourite Marvel ongoing, Perry. No doubt; gotta say Dead Girl is probably the best thing they've published since NXM ended, but I love Cap. Really looking forward to the anniversary ish too; 'zit Marcos Martin and someone? Read the art team, two guys, somewhere and I was totally pumped. Both great, can't remember who tho'.
If you're addressing me.
