The teaser image is interesting, I admit... It looks like a Gary Frank piece, though I can't tell for certain. Curious image, at any rate. I've no interest in Countdown, but as an overall picture of the DCU, it might be fun to play. I'm not certain about all the objects lying around. The only ones I'm certain about are the Book of Destiny (now a major plot element in Brave & The Bold), Superman's cape, Batman's cowl, and Wonder Woman's sword. The broken Green Arrow could well be a hint at some plot point involving Ollie. And I want to say that's a Mother Box near Mary Marvel, but I'm also not certain there. As for the characters involved, I recognize everyone but that purple one standing next to Mary Marvel and Granny Goodness. The significance of those characters, I can't guess at. Darkseid's head rising from the ground... I'm wondering if what Darkseid intends to do is reshape the planet into his image, as a nod to the Great Darkness Saga? Hard to say... That said, I'm also curious about the Supermen standing on the top right... the Cyborg Superman likely is a major player with the Sinestro Corps. The older Superman might be either the KC Superman or Earth-2 Superman... I can't be completely certain, though my guess is KC Supes. And I have no idea about the Superman in the black costume at all. I guess we'll see what comes. I may comment further as plot elements become known...

I'm not certain about all the objects lying around. The only ones I'm certain about are the Book of Destiny (now a major plot element in Brave & The Bold) I'm guessing it's the Bible of Crime from 52. It's the diamond tipped arrow that Ollie used all th eway back in JLofA #5 vol.1, retriveed during Meltzer's Archer Quest to use the diamond in an engagement ring for Dinah, which he gave to her in the recent Green Arrow #75. It is a Mother Box, alongside the Black Racer's skies. Also the same artifact shown in the previous teaser, which I think it's a Purple Ray. That's the Eclipso-possesed Jean Loring from Day of Vengeance. It is the KC Superman. Note the symbol. The Black Superman may possible be from Loeb's Emperor Joker storyline from a few years ago. Also, the characters are grouped in a position similar to Leonardo's The Last Supper, with Luthor standing as Jesus.
