I recall Geoff Johns saying somewhere that the Sinestro Corps would have its own Guardians. I guess he was referring to the Anti-Monitor? Interesting, in any case. I'm looking forward to seeing how the Sinestro War plays out. As for Superboy-Prime being freed and joining the Sinestro Corps, it was kind of an expected move. The Sinestro Corps was bound to target Oa at some point, and hitting the Central Battery is a logical move. That said, I wasn't expecting the new Parallax. Kind of a neat move, though.

Anyway, I finally picked up my comics this week. Including the Sinestro Corps special, which sold out on me a few weeks ago. So I'll use this thread to comment on GL-ish stuff. As an aside, it would be a very bad idea to read the latest issue of Green Lantern without having read Sinestro Corps first. GL doesn't really recap anything, and assumes you've read Sinestro Corps already. It's a far more satisfying read if you know what happened previously. Other than that, I love the way the Sinestro Corps saga is going so far. This has to be the only crossover event (in a year vastly oversaturated with crossovers) that I'm actually enjoying. The Sinestro Corps special is very well done, establishing the threat Sinestro and his forces pose, and even better... establish something even worse behind him. The Anti-Monitor as the ultimate power behind the Sinestro Corps is a great idea, too. It does seem that the Anti-Monitor is the "Guardian" equivalent, which fits into the concept quite well. I suspect that all of this will have implications come Final Crisis, but we'll see when it comes. Incidentally, I love the way Geoff Johns references "the Blackest Night" and the Empire of Tears in Sinestro Corps. That's a reference to an Abin Sur backup story that Alan Moore wrote for GL, and one I thought would never be referenced again. Bringing back an Alan Moore idea is never a bad thing if you can make it work. I'm loving this so far. Forget Countdown... this is where things are really happening in the DCU right now.
