So it seems cap is back - but not Steve rogers. I can't comment on the storyline as I don't follow the book but man - what an ugly, ugly costume! Read more here

Eh. It's probably going to be Bucky carrying on the Cap mantle for a while.
I'm not reading the series right now either. To be honest, I'm long past caring about this overhyped non-event. Steve Rogers has been dead before, and I can't imagine they'll keep him dead for good. The real Cap will be back eventually, it's just a matter of when.
That said, I can't say I like the idea of a more lethal Cap... and to be honest, this is ground that's been covered before anyway. I can live with it as a temporary phase, especially if it's meant to show what Cap represents by contrast, but I find it ill-suits the concept as a long-term status quo.
As for the costume... well, I can't say I'm impressed. Ross has designed much better.

Looks fine. Both retro and modern. Alex Ross' paint doesn't make it look very good, though. But I'm sure it will look fine with Epting's pencils and D'amata's colors.
I'm sure whatever Brubaker is planning will be as masterful as the rest of his run has been so far.

It's U.S.A. Agent all over again.
Well, although I wouldn't give up on this. I'm liking how Captain America is going, actually, and I love Winter Soldier so far. We'll see.
