I'm looking forward to Dragon Quest VIII, supposed to come out in November, and Okami, sometime in 2006. I'm curious about the Chornicles of Narnia game. It's been a long time since I've gotten any movie-based game, but I'm curious to find out more info.
Of recent releases, I'm looking forward to Makai Kingdom, another in the line of Phantom Brave and Disgaea. I love my RPG/Strategy games! But I'll wait till it comes down in price, if it does.
Will wants RPG Maker 3, which has been postponed to November, I think. Then there's Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, which sounds very promising, but release is TBA
Basically, you're a special SWAT team member that deals w/ battling paranormal phomonons -- such as ghosts and spectors. It's a horror-themed FPS game by Monolith, makers of No One Lives Forever 1, NOLF 2, Tron 2.0, and the Blood series.
The game is basically a cross b/t The Ring and The Matrix.
Your main character, by the game's opening, seems to have some special abilities, though -- as you can move in SloMo (a la Max Payne). I wonder how supernatural/paranormal our hero is in this game....
From the main site on the overview:
You aren't a soldier. You are a weapon.
F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) is an intense combat experience with rich atmosphere and a deeply intense paranormal storyline presented entirely in first person. Be the hero in your own spine-tingling epic of action, tension, and terror... and discover the true meaning of fear.
Hyper-stylized combat for breathtaking cinematic quality action Gripping supernatural storyline for spine-tingling intensity of play Multi-player action with multiple gameplay modes and all single player capabilities
Advanced graphics and physics for visceral movie-like experience Enemies with special abilities and A.I. so intuitive it's like battling living, breathing players
"This game looks frighteningly good." - Computer Gaming World , September 2004
Yesterday I had a thought ... Dragon Age is a Bioware product ... Tsel is in the Bioware Forums ... Tsel, can you probably give some insights from discussions how this game might be ? I just mean that someone common with discussions within a forum often gets to know much, much more, often between the lines, than what a reader of an "Official Website" gets ...
