Incoherent thoughts on a Monday morning...

It's funny the way things strike you. There was me, just getting shot to crap in my one and only FPS game - which is about par for the course, if you want to know. I really need an electronic gun to play those things,..

So anyway, there was me, dead for the Nth time in half an hour and hoping I'd just got the right album ordered off Amazon for me (Japanese version, coz it has about a squillion more songs and most of the good ones...) when it suddenly occurred to me...

I've always said that there is no way whatsoever that The Chaos Cascade should work. It's a site about nothing, with no real original content and no star names to attract people. Yet it works in complete defiance of all known message boards, instead of just crashing and burning.

But... It suddenly struck me, about the same time as three sticks of dynamite struck my onscreen persona... It's not exactly true to say that the Cascade has no purpose; that it's about nothing.

It's about US. You, me, everybody who comes here now, and everyone who will join us in the future. We, ladies, gentlemen, and assorted other beings, are the stars of the Chaos Cascade. It's about us, and the original content lies with the original people - all of us, each being as unique as any man, woman or child on Earth.

Kinda like a club, only you can't get vomited on by the other members just before they pass out in a corner ;D

The Cascade doesn't break the rules of messageboards after all - it just bends them a little... a lot... Kinda to breaking point! ;D

When I wake up properly, I'm gonna read this, and think, "Ye gods! What a moron!" But right now it looks right... Too much dynamite to the head, I should imagine... ;D

exactly the point, EK. CC works because it doesn't work! it makes sense because it doesn't! it has got everything because it has nothing! ;D

this forum is not an exception to the rule, rather exception is the rule.

That is exactly what the premise of the whole Seinfeld T.V. series was all about.
It was a show about nothing and it became one of T.V.s biggest success stories.

ultimatly every messageboard regardless of what it is about will develop a section about nothing in particular that means nothing more than that which the posters put into it. If they don't then the main message board will become the playground... You just approched it from the other end
