to everyone
there are a few movies, a small group of them that everytime they pass on TV i have a really ahrd time of not seeing/enjoy them again and again and again...you get the idea.
from the top of my head here are a few (and this from a person who says to be not much of a hollywood cinema lover - but we're talking about pure entertainement domain, lol):
- Indiana Jones: whatever the film is, whatever the part/scene of the movie i stumble upon, me (and my wife, which makes the viewing even more joyous) i can't change the channel.
really you get archeological myths/supertitions/religion, humour, action and well filmed/directed scenes...
- Back to the future: the same as above, but this one i'm very linked to, mostly the first one, which was one of the movies i remember seeing as a kid with my grandfather...great memories,lol, and she falled asleep everytime
- Star Wars: well what can i say?!
- LOTR: what can i say part 2!!!
what about you?!

Star Wars Indiana Jones The Godfather Jaws There are others, but these are the ones that, no matter what, I will stop and watch. Plus I have them all on DVD, so I can watch them any time I like.  |

The DVD's that I tend to rewatch fairly often... Star Wars (Episodes IV-V) Raiders of the Lost Ark Monty Python & The Holy Grail Real Genius There's more than that. I have a fairly decent collection. But those are my "old reliables", usually. |

for me it's Cowboy Bebop (series as well as movie, especially the later), Osamu Tezuka's Metropolis, Monty Python's Search for The Holy Grail, Ghost In The Shell, Studio Ghibli's films (except Grave of the Fireflies), Rurouni Kenshiin OVA (Trust & Betrayal).
on the less serious; In Living Colour (the only re-run i watch with full enjoyment).

There's so many 80's movies - Real Genius, Wargames, Hiding Out, etc. If they're on, I'm hooked.
There's also Footloose, Grease 1 or 2...
Princess Bride - I know the movie by heart, but still can't get enough of it.
There's movies I love to watch over and over, but aren't shown on TV much if at all - Into the Woods, The Pirate Movie, Moulin Rouge....
I know there are others, but I can't think of them right now.

Wow, Silva, I can't believe you and I are so close in our likes and dislikes at times. Wargames, Footloose, Grease, Princess Bride, Moulin Rouge are all movies that I can watch over and over again without ever getting tired of them. Lady Hawk, Robin Hood (Kevin Costner), While You Were Sleeping, Dead Poets Society, Guarding Tess, etc. are some others that I never tire of watching. Then of course LoTR and Star Wars have to be added in. Shan |

Princess Bride is one I also will stop to watch.
Um, Fellowship of the Ring is one I never get tired of, but rarely have time to be able to watch it all. Spider-Man surprisingly has stood the test of time for me so far, but not the sequel.
Young Frankenstein is a comedy I never, never, ever get tired of - I've watched it a hundred times. What else? I guess that's it.

hehe. That sounds like fun. My family and I have our share of movie traditions.
Kinda like when my family goes out together and we park somewhere. We always say, "Everyone remember where we parked."

Jurassic Park, the end where the T_rex offs the Raptors never gets old.
Gladiator...
And thats about it, other movies I find can get old...
