And i'm back again,
Hello??? Rise of the Silver Surfer
Ok another superhero movie, and lets face it most of them have been crap but there have been some great ones as well. the first one of these wasn't bad, better than most in fact. So in that light i'm hoping this sequal will be at least as good as the first.
It's certainly got to be better than ....oh whats the name of the other one thats out at the moment....no can't think....But this looks great, and lets face it regardless of the story on this one let me just say.....Jessica Alba....Grrrrr......

Y'know, Jessica might be hot... But at least Sin City was a great freakin' movie.
IMHO, I can't say the same for the original F4 movie -- blah! And the new F4 sequel looks quite awful, as well.

I liked the movie. I didn't have expectations of it being the greatest movie ever, but it was decent enough, had a lot of humor, some good action, and well I don't know if we're doing spoilers in this thread so I'll stop there.

I'm with Venom on this one. It's a decent film, does what it's meant to, but it's by no means the greatest superhero film ever. I think FF fans would find it acceptable, but it's not something I'd go out of my way to see otherwise. In some respects, though, I like FF2 more than the original. Mainly because it fixes some of the problems with Doom from the first film... the Doom in FF2 is far closer to the "classic" version than in the last film. It's generally a solid blending of elements from the classic Lee/Kirby stories. I also liked Laurence Fishburne as the voice of the Surfer. The cast seems to have improved somewhat as well. The ending could be better, and there are a couple of elements that are a little off, but overall FF2 is satisfactory if not stellar. Still better than I'd have expected of a sequel.
