The image of the action hero who fights dozens of bad guys without a single hair out of place and who had a gadget for every ocassion was replaced by the gritty, mean style of Jason Bourne, or Jack Bauer. They needed less of a male model and more of the world weary and rugged looks and Paramount casting Daniel Craig as Bond was an excellent choice. I've always liked the John McClane type of action hero. Kinda "I'm ultimate, but I don't think I am, and I'm just freaking out winging it as I go because I have to." He keep his cool, but only just enough; he's surprised to find himself alive or that his crazy ideas worked, instead of keeping an unimpressed face as bullets fly by him. Alright, concerning some up-and-comming movies we mentionned earlier... Here's a teaser for The Dark Knight.I gotta say, The Joker's voice/tone is really not pulling me in. I'm not so sure about this. Skeptical! And here's a trailer for Iron Man.I've never read the comics, or anything, but this movie looks pretty cool. ;D Looking forward to it. Killerzzz |

I Am Legend- Looks like another rip off of Omega Man but man do I like my rip offs.
EDIT: I found out I Am Legend is the book that Omega Man was based off of, and that I Am Legend is technically a remake of Omega Man as they rewrote it so it would be closer to Omega Man.

Lewis and the Narnia Chronicles, so he wrote this in response...they evidently kill god..?? No matter, I am gonna watch it anyway - for myself.. ;D |

Any suggestions about those? Enchanted has gotten some really good reviews, the consensus is favorable to the movie. On the other hand, The Golden Compass hasn't fared too well. (and by this I mean by people who actually know about movies, not pseudo watchers of family morals who should get a real work) |

In the disney category I want to see Princess Protection Program, and in the non disney category I wanna see all the movies Alyson Michalka is going to be in like, Bandslam, Easy A, and The Rommate. ;D

Okay guys, I've got two more that are on my "I'm Interested" list (there are others, but these two are on my mind right now). The first is The Last Airbender, and the reasons for which I'm interested are in the Live-Action adaptations thread, but I'll quote it here. The second is Daybreakers. Imagine a world where almost everyone is a vampire, and the last surviving humans are being hunted down... Yeah, pretty epic. A nice looking cast backs it up, and I just plain feel like this movie has the right attitude to make something great. Let's hope so, because I am SO looking forward to it. ;D Killerzzz |
