Someone correct me if I am wrong here, but I think his works also include: The Indiana Jones Movies, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Superman, Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, Minority Report, Jaws, and many others. Hopefully someone else will look at this list Max and let you know if I messed up on any of them. Shan

if anyone can remember Catch Me If You Can (Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Leonardo DiCaprio), that soundtrack is very unique when it comes to John Williams as he sounds very different from most of his work, which are very much loud & with-a-bang style.

Uh, music forum, John Williams thread, Catch Me If You Can, actors named, Jags must be talking about a movie soundtrack. Did I get it right? ;D Sorry no compute. Sadly movies and music are not really my best category. With this one being so different, where do you think it stands among his other works? Did he do others like this or was this just a try for him (a sort of testing ground)? Shan

well u got me there, Shan. but u're right; it's a soundtrack. it's different from typical John Williams as this one's very jazzy & has that calmness & relatively quieter which make this soundtrack quite unique among all John Williams' compositions.

Hi, little mythical creature. Are you going to hang around a while or are you going to disappear. Jags, do you have any idea how old the movie is? Shan

2002. Pretty neat movie, following the life of noted conman Frank Abnegale Jr. As atypical for an Spielberg movie as the Williams' score for him. Highly recommendable.

i have to admit, among all Star Wars sexology (six-parter, that is), only Episodes 4, 5, 6 have really good soundtracks. Ep 1, 2, 3 have some nice tracks but most of them are fillers, which aren't that great & outstanding. i have read reviews of Harry Potter soundtracks & they say they're good. i personally don't like Harry Potter films/books/franchise but if the soundtrack is good, then it's good.

Whatever one may think about the Prequels, the soundtrack are easily up to par with the Originals. With some songs like Across the Stars, Duel of the Fattes and Battle of the heroes as memorable as the best of original soundtracks. While I doubt the will have the penetration into pop culture as the Force theme or the Imperial March, that doesn't diminish their quality.

Hector, thanks for the feed. the tracks u mentioned are those that i love from the newer episodes. however most of them are sadly without much character. take for example, Anakin's theme is so forgettable yet this is the central figure in the whole sexology. play any song from the original episodes & it's so easily identifiable & with character. oh well, anyway it's just how i feel.
