Last CD's I bought were "Only By The Night"- Kings of Leon, "Forth"-The Verve and "Viva La Vida"-Coldplay. Generally three very good albums.
I used to really quite dislike Codlplay, mainly because I used to think all their singles sounded too similar and all a tad too piano-ey to me. But after listening to Viva La Vida and A Rush of Blood To The Head; I've completely changed my opinion of them. Both excellent albums.

The Knife - Both Deep Cuts and Silent Shout. Tears for Fears - The Hurting. Pixies - Surfer Rosa & Come on Pilgrim (collection of the two). Nice cover by the way.
I ordered these four records and two games (Pro Evolution Soccer 09 (finally PES for PC is good enough!) and The Witcher Enchanted Edition) on Wednesday evening and the note saying I could collect them were in the mail today when I came home at 11:20. That's service!
The Best of Supertramp and Dead Can Dance (self titled album) is on the way by the way.

Fearless by Taylor Swift. Best album I got this year - a position unlikely to be challenged in the time remaining

My last was "... And Winter Came ..." by Enya. Oh, sorry, there was one even *after* that : "We know what we like". The imho *far best* try to make classic pieces out of works of Genesis ! I had been searching for this CD for ages ... I found it recently on ebay. I was very, very, very happy I had it after all of these years ... (I only had the vinyl LP and a cassette copy of that.)

Tangerine Dream - The Essential Collection. They're as good as I hoped they'd be. It's a two CD collection. The first CD has six songs and is 73 minutes long... ;D Übereil

There's been a library sale these past two weeks and I've been getting quite a good amount of used books and comics for a cheap price of £1 per item. There's also a healthy amount of cd's but nothing I really needed. The sale is ending on Saturday and since the library need to clear out the material there's been a "fill a bag for £5" offer these last few days. The cd's, though, don't factor in to prevent one person to scoop up all of them at once. But luckily I was able to persuade the librarian to sell me some included in the bag offer - as she said "better to be rid of them". So without further ado here's what I purchased, along with four books and thirteen comics (Spirou, Lucky Luke, Valhalla, Benoit Brisefer etc.) for a measly £5: Shery Crow - C'mon c'mon Hootie & the Blowfish - Musical Chairs Third Eye Blind - Out of the vein Stone Temple Pilots - Shangri-La dee da Portishead - Portishead NYC live The Rasmus - Dead letters Emilia - Big big world Cher - The greatest hits Christian - Du kan gøre hvad du vil Skid Row - Subhuman race Inside the Whale - Tænk hvis du går glip af noget Eagle-Eye Cherry - Living in the present future Jewel- 0304 Jewel - Spirit Danser med drenge - Popsamling Nikolaj Nørlund - Nye optagelser Skunk Anansie - Post orgasmic chill AC/DC- Let there be rock Live - The distance to here Live - V Ana Johnson - The way I am I haven't started listening yet since I still suffer from headache but even if most of it is crap it's still a good buy

For me, the expected 2009 album explosion begins here. A slow start, but there will be rapid gains from this point on!

Look At The Hits On That by Fuzzbox. A compilation of their greatest hits, but far more importantly it has all their videos on it, including for Your Loss, My Gain which was never released on an album.

Time After Time, The Best Of Cyndi Lauper. Cyndi is one of the 80s artists I never really appreciated at the time, but who has grown on me a lot since. I've been meaning to get one of her best of collections for a while. The time seemed right
