Those of you with MP3 players or MP3 collections on your computer, let's have some fun. Set your play mode to 'random' and press play (so it'll choose songs at random from your entire library), then write down the first 10 songs you hear. Add a few comments if you like.
Of interest to me is that I often listen to the last 4 songs on the list, but not the others.
1. Heartbreaker-- The Crows - The Crows and The Harptones -- a little known doo wop song from the 50s--I used to be a collector and aficianado of doo wop back in the 60s.
2. Seven Lonely Days-- The Crows
3. El Chico Chevere--Albita - Dicen Que
Albita is my favorite Latin female singer.
4. Some Of These Days--Ella Fitzgerald, Newport Jazz Festival - Live At Carnegie Hall
5. There's Your Trouble Dixie Chicks - Wide Open Spaces
I don't like most country music. I used to treat a patient in his room and he played this album all the time. I grew to enjoy several of the songs.
6. A Tu Vera--The Gipsy Kings - The Best of the Gipsy Kings
7. Comentario del Sol--Albita - Son
This song is top notch--great stuff.
8. Cantare--Rodríguez, Albita - El Son Llego de Cuba
Another dynamite song from my favorite.
9. When The Night--Paul McCartney & Wings - Red Rose Speedway
My wife and I used to listen to this album a lot when we were first going out, and we still like it.
10. Choco's Guarjira--Rubén Gonzales - Chanchullo
This is my favorite cut from this cd. Excellent Latin Jazz; can't beat it. Every cut on this album is actually really good. Great dance music too. (We dance in the living room.)
