Who are you rooting for? Who do you think will come out of each division and/or league? Will Barry set the mark? etc Anything you want to share on the new season share it ps. I want the Blue Jays to win even though they obviously won't. But if they hit the wild card I'll be happy

I'm actually a big baseball fan too, but I haven't posted much about it, and this thread is pretty much why. It has existed for over 2 months now, and nothing.
Anyway, I'll sticky it for now and we'll see if it gets some conversation going. And of course, if it generates a lot, we'll go to weekly threads.
So, let's talk baseball!

I like watching baseball on tv, though I find it much more enjoyable in person...

Venom, what does MLB stand for?
Why is it so much better watching it live? Is it because of the fan excitement?

Cleglaw is right about what it stands for, as for why it's better live... well, like most things it's a matter of opinion. But the atmosphere is very enjoyable, having the chance to catch bats and balls that fly into the stands is fun, and it's just awesome to be at the ball park. It's hard to accurately describe it, but I work in minor league baseball and love the hell out of it.

Other than the World Series .... Is the World Series that much fun to watch? Isn't it just like any other baseball game on TV except that you have two teams who are suppose to be the best in their division playing? Looks to me like it is still baseball. ;D

Are bats and baseballs flying into the stands that much fun? Am I really missing out on something. ;D I think I know what you mean though. You love the atomsphere. Which do you like the best, baseball, football, basketball?

Heh... football is a religion =D By the way everyone, we've actually scored a few runs... better check in the sky for the horsemen... I feel a huge rant coming on whether we win or lose. And this is what I thought would happen with this thread... zero interest.

And this is what I thought would happen with this thread... zero interest. Welcome to the art forum Venom. Seems like no matter how hard we try we just get zero interest. Thanks for the football answer.

So, what does everyone think of the Phillies losing their 10,000th game last night? Hey, if you can't be good, you might as well be really bad!

Unsticking this because, like I though, there is no interest. Maybe we can all [Censored] about the cheater in the next 7-10 days when he breaks Aaron's record.
