Of course, it wouldn't be a NFL thread if we didn't play like [Censored]
A usual [Censored] Dolphins job.
Once again our offense couldn't do jack [Censored] and left our D to wilt out there all game. Trent Green must have thought every WR was 10 feet tall, because that's how high he was throwing it, when he wasn't throwing to the other team. As usual Ronnie Brown was a complete non factor, Cam won't even put him in most of the time anymore. Our O-Line was better, but still not very good. On the bright side, Chambers managed to have two good games in a row, surely a sign of the apocalypse.
On defense we again were barely able to pressure Romo, our run D still left a lot to be desired, and lets be honest. Our secondary just sucks for the most part.
The only time we made a great play was when the game was out of reach and Derek Hagan amazingly actually caught a ball that shouldn't of been thrown. Our D could step up in the big moment and stop the 4th and 4 against Dallas... not when they can let T.O. just run free in the secondary.
Well, there is one more good thing. We didn't have to watch Olindo miss any more kicks like he did today. At least Jay Feely actually makes kicks... and he had a nice onside kick too.
Looks like it's just going to be more of the same [Censored]for us this year. Our D needs some offensive support, and we can't even hold onto the ball, much less give them 21 points to work with.
Also, Ted Ginn seems like he tries to hit a homerun on every play instead of just gaining the yards that are there and it's annoying as hell.
I'm too disgusted to even be pissed off.

The [Censored] they will. It's the same damn bull[Censored]for the past three years now, and I'm tired of seeing them make the same stupid mistakes EVERY. GAME. We should have won this game again, but noooooooooooo!

Yea, God, how bad was McNabb last night? He thinks he gets more crap cause he's black? No, the answer is he gets more crap because he's been TERRIBLE!

Ok, I gotta talk about my team more now that I've had time to think about it...
Ok, so two weeks into the season and after some time to think about this, here is what I think so far, and what we must do.
First, we give our offense a lot of crap, and deservedly so, but lets also be honest, through two weeks the only team that has stopped our passing game is the Dolphins. Chambers (shockingly) has run all over opposing secondaries thus far, and on many plays we have WRs open. The fact is, they're there.
Of course, this means Trent Green has to get his head out of his ass. Yeah, he bombed last week, but the week before, if not for penalties and drops, he was about to take us in to win.
Our O-Line has been adequate enough as far as pass protection goes, Trent makes them look better because he can actually move around very well in the pocket as long as he has a chance to see the rush coming. Obviously they have to improve on run blocking, and it's surprising to see how bad they are considering we're getting much beefier on the line. Bottom line is, they have to explode into some defenders.
Ronnie Brown, even with the O-Line problems still leaves a lot to be desired. Say what you will about Ricky, but even when there were no holes, he just put his head and down and RAN. And I wish Ronnie would do the same. He's a pretty big back, there is no reason for him to dance around like he's Michael Jackson. At the same time, I don't expect him to run over people like he's Earl Campbell or even Ricky, but he can get some yards if he just goes.
On defense, what can we say? Sure they have been on the field a lot, but the fact is, in both games they had the chance to step up for ONE PLAY and make the difference and they failed.
Teams are really focused on Jason, so guys like Roth and Porter have to step up and make some plays so Jason can get more 1 on 1 blocks.
The LB's need to step up too. They have to stop missing tackles, just go in there and take someone's head off. A common theme the first two games has been missed tackles, in all areas of the defense, it's hurting us A LOT.
In the secondary, someone has to play like they have a clue. That busted coverage on T.O.'s TD pass that put away the game was just unacceptable. I don't expect them to be Madison and Surtain, but even players like Randel El destroyed them and that just can't happen. In their defense, the front 7 isn't getting nearly enough pressure on the QBs, but they still have to step up and play better.
Special teams... well at least Jay Feely and his freakishly huge arms are kicking well. Certainly much better than Mare shanking FG's for N.O. :supz: But Ted Ginn! GOD! The same thing as Ronnie Brown, just PUT YOUR HEAD DOWN AND GO! He tries to hit a home run on every play instead of just getting what is there. A 15 yard punt return to set up good field position will help much more than him running 50 yards from side to side!
So the bottom line is, we aren't as bad as the final score of last game would indicate. BUT, we have to stop making stupid penalties and having so many players be so hesitant. Even if we struggle running the ball all year, we can definitely throw the ball, but that means no more drops, and no more throwing like our WRs are ten feet tall!
We have the Jets next week, and they aren't very good either. This is a good chance to get our offense headed in the right direction and give our defense a chance to show they still got it. I'm still in the belief that our D can make 21 stick if we can give it to them.
Thoughts?
