At least until the playoffs, anyway.
8-0 New England Patriots and 7-0 Indianapolis Colts, beeyotches!
First time ever in NFL history that two teams better than or at 7-0 are meeting this late in the season. And they're probably the best two teams in the entire league, too, bar none.
Making it all better is that they have a recent history of playoffs and championship battles.
It's pretty obvious that whoever is going to win this game will have homefield advantage by the time it's all said and done, if they do meet in the playoffs. So the stakes are still pretty high.
4:05 EST on CBS, be there or be square!

Eh, who cares, it was around then.
Anyway...
I was pretty nervous about it from the beginning when I realized the Colts didn't have Marvin Harrison and Tony Ugoh. I don't think that losing two of our linebackers hurt that much though because we were going to have to do a 4-2-5 formation anyway. Then we lost Anthony Gonzalez early on... ouch.
So we pretty much had to hand the game over to Addai and the defense. And they didn't do a bad job, but I guess in the end it wasn't enough against a completely healthy Pats offensive team. Still, the Colts should be pretty proud that they managed to lead the Pats most of the game despite being shorthanded.
So the Colts will be going to New England in the playoffs this year, I guess. I wonder if the winter conditions won't hurt the Pats more than the Colts this time around, though, since the Colts obviously have a better running back this time. And I don't think I've ever seen Randy Moss run in the snow...
Well, I guess we'll see. Somehow I think the Colts are actually the best team, they just didn't have enough of their normal offense.

Evil will always triumph over good, because good is dumb.
This is so disappointing, if Indy can't beat them at home, who will step up and do it now? I can't imagine who will do it. I know Indy will most likely play them in the playoffs, on the road, when it's 2 degrees, snowy, and muddy... but I don't have much faith in them in that situation...

Actually, I've heard that it's not going to be that bad this year winter-wise in New England, according to some friends living up there.
Anyway, good doesn't always lose to evil, Indy was 3-0 against New England (2 at home and 1 in New England) before this game. I think New England just caught Indy on a good day.
But it's obvious now that getting Randy Moss has really paid off dividends for the Pats - he killed the Colts' secondary in the second half. But I think we were doing great by pressuring Tom Brady UNTIL the fourth quarter, which was when he got hot. The biggest key to beating the Pats right now is just hit Tom Brady hard and often. The Colts did that for most of the game and they ended up leading most of it.

Well, here's what my friend said:
"we are supposed to have a really mild winter this year (of coarse, here in syracuse, anything less than a foot of snow a day is concidered mild x.x)"
Anyway, the Pats still have three more obstacles... the Giants, the Steelers, and themselves. I don't think Belichick will keep them on the field if there's the risk of somebody getting hurt needlessly and they've already clinched just about everything in the playoffs.

I think we will. Anyway, did you hear the Pats accused the Colts of cheating by pumping in noise? That's like the bad guy telling you the truth to the whole story. Hahaha.

The Pats have an integrity problem to begin with...and the aquisition of Randy Moss is another example of their mentality. He has always been a malcontent and questionable..I am from West Virginia and when he played for Marshall he was the same and transfered there due to other "circumstances"...the fact that he can catch a ball over most shorter defensive backs doesn't take away from the fact that he exercises a lot of offensive pass interference that is never called...similar to Michael Irvin and especially Dieon Sanders...as well as Michale Jordan did in Basketball... I hope they lose somewhere in the next 3 games..I think both the Giants and the Steelers can beat them...if they will... I am definitely not a Patriot fan...as you can tell... ;D

I don't blame you after what they did against you a few weeks ago.
I love it, one Patroits player said today, "Why can't people just respect us and appreciate what we're doing."
Let's see dumbass...
1. You cheated 2. You go out of your way to embarrass everyone by continuing to throw bombs up 5 TDs 3. You do things such as disrespect the home team by stamping on their logo, or mocking them.
Even the Cowboys in the 90s never were this bad.
