HELP!!! In all these recepies from a cosmopolitain community we have all sorts of differing measurements - US, English (don't you tell me they are the same, or I'll step on your toes with all my full weight of 7 1/2 stone! *), Continental European (that's fairly equal thgroughout - reproachful look across the channel^^) Either we agree on metric - OK, OK, I cede arms to the overwhelming majority - or we make a table of comparison, and make it a sticky in this forum. {* I actually have no clue as to the correctness - it's 107 kg}

Glance you are not the only one who has trouble with this. I have no idea how much 107 kg is. Maybe like you said we need some kind of conversion chart posted as a sticky. Peter, Lisa what do you guys think? I know something like that would help me alot and it would probably be of use to alot of other members too. Shan

How much is 107 kg - well, slightly too much - I am undertall^^ 1 kg = 2 pounds à 500g <-> 1 pound (US) = 451 g => 1 kg = 1000g = 2.2 pounds (US) I have no clue about ounces. My main problem is temperatures Celsius versus Fahrenheit: What I know off hand is that at -40 they're identical, at +100° C water boils, whereas +100° F is a hot summer day.

Good idea. I'm at a loss for measurements other than metric. We should decide on a general measurement and at the same time set up a conversion table I'll have to wait until tomorrow or Sunday to find one since I've been too busy with school these last few days. I hope that's okay What do the rest of yu guys think

Hey Glance I'm not really up on celsius and metric, but I'm willing to learn. Want to teach me? ;D I can deal with whatever the forum decides to go with as a general rule but a conversion chart would be great. Shan

if you type in the measurement that you are having problems with and a measurement you can handle into google (e.g. - lb to kg) then google with give you a conversion, you can also add a value to the beginning if you want (e.g. - 20 kg to lb)
