I... I don't know what to say... So instead... I'll Sing!! "Whats this? Whats this? Theres something in the air. A smell, or possibly dispair? Whats this? There's something new thats comming soon and stirring up a world amiss! Whats this? Whats this? Whats this? Its good ole D B Z. But how! Could such a movie be? Its live! Oh I need to wake up I must be dreaming such a thing can't be contrived! Whats this? Whats this? There's more!More movies than before! A mech will hit the filming floor. A prize! Some Neon Genesis Evangelion action right before my eyes! Whats this?! Whats this? Whats this? It surely cannot be. Good stuff, or are they both crappy? Who knows? I'm looking forward and I'm backward fearing how the outcome goes. Whats this?..." 1. Watch the Nightmare Before Christmas, and you'll get the song. ;D 2. What do you think? I'm worried they'll screw up. Killerzzz

Why worry? They'll definitely screw it up. Plus, it's a pretty bad idea in the first place; even as anime, I can't take the ridiculous, prolonged fight scenes with all those throbbing veins seriously. In live action, I can only imagine how utterly but unintentionally hilarious it'll be.

Dragon Ball Z is going to suck horribly it is statistically proven. How they can make two hours of screaming and one punch thrown entertaining is beyond me. Still I may see that film because it has James Marsters in it.

I'm going to watch them with the same goal in mind for when I'll watch Blood Rayne and DOA: so I'll be able to rant about how disappointing they were later. And there's still that off-chance they'll be good. >.> Killerzzz P.S.: Ooo, and apparently theres a Dragon Ball movie out there...

If it was the first Dragon Ball, I could see some possibilities. But DBZ... I'm incredibly skeptical, yes. But yeah, it will be interesting to see how much they stick to the original mythology, assuming they don't butcher it.

Over a year later, I return with further news! The Movie is in fact Dragonball, and not Dragonball Z. WHAT A RELIEF some might say. It has found itself a title ( Dragonball Evolution). Unfortunately, the story seems to derrivate a fair amount from the anime. Goku is a high-school student (WHAT? Goku learning? BS!...), the Dragonballs we're created by some mystics or wise men or something to protect the universe or something, and yeah... From the commercial ( here you go!), the acting doesn't look that great (particularly from the lead; sorry fans of that actor!). But the action looks admittedly kick-ass. There was a scare for a while. King Piccolo looked like he was going to be peach-skinned! Luckily, turns out he's green after all. Also, the issue of "WTF, WHY IS GOKU WHITE" was brought up very often, and argue one way and another, pointlessly. Most people were wondering why the hell Goku wasn't Japanese like everyone else. Then, some wise dude in the IMDB forum/chat/thing said something that put everyone else to shame. Essentially he said: "Goku is a freaking alien... not Japanese. So he could look like any race INCLUDING white." You, sir, are a genious. The Evangelion movie, however, is still draped in shadows. See yall later! Killerzzz

Ah, and I've just come across another one that is still only in rumour stages. ;D A Cowboy Bebop live-action movie? How do you guys feel about that possibility. Personally, I think it could go well if done properly enough. It could be awesome. According to Wikipedia: Hmmm, he's definately tall and skinny. And he often plays a character who like sarcasm. But I don't know if Keanu can be playful enough to play Spike. Also, his voice is considerably different. Someone who came to mind as a possibility, in passing as I just watched a movie featuring this actor, was Matthew Fox. I haven't seen much Lost, but he seems like a decent actor. Did a good enough job in Smokin' Aces, Vantage Point, and Speed Racer, playing a variety of roles. And as could be seen Speed Racer, he can have the voice for it. Though I don't know how good his karate is. So, yeah, what's your speculation on this one? And all that Dragonball and Evangelion stuff. Killerzzz

And I've got two more! ;D
Apparently they're thinking of doing a Ghost In The Shell live-action. Don't know much about it yet. Apparently a big Marvel movie producer is taking part.
Also, a live-action adaptation of James Patterson's Maximum Ride novels are supposed to start happening. The first movie looks like its really under way. The first book was awesome, so they better do that right or I'll be VERY ANGRY!
Oh, and I include that second one here because they just made a manga for the first book. Therefore, I deem it relevant! ;D
So there! Any thoughts? Ghost in the Shell seems doable.

Oho! And we have another! Does anyone know about the Blood animes/mangas? I've only seen one episode of the Blood+ series. Apparently the animes started with an animated movie (?) called Blood: The Last Vampire, and maybe there was an old anime, idunno... Regardless! There is now a Live-Action movie being made, and we'll be able to see it soon! TRAILER! :0I think it could be good. Maybe. Will have to find out, eh? Look for it next month (July 10th?) in North America and FRIDAY in the UK. ;D According to IMDB anyhow. Killerzzz

i'm pretty sure they'll tone it down so much cos the manga is so violent. honestly i don't know what new stuff or interpretation that live action can come up with since we already have so many versions of Blood.
there's .... Blood: The Last Vampire -> animated movie Blood+ -> the manga (you can get it from Mangadownload of Doom) Blood+ -> the anime (2 seasons i think)

Aaaand they're at it again. But this time, I am very VERY interested. VERY. Because? Well, its a peculiar case. It is a live-action adaptation of an anime- like American cartoon series, but I'm still putting it here anyhow. The show? Avatar: The Last Airbender. The twist? M. Night Shyamahdafjsfdklaf Shyamalan is writing AND directing it. I think his way of doing things differently might work really well for a live-action adaptation. And this looks like an epic-style movie, which is something else I haven't seen from him (also an action movie with martial arts and magic). So, its gonna be something the likes of which the WORLD HAS NEVER SEEN! (?) The teaser? The Last Airbender.I haven't even seen the cartoon, but this looks promising. Killerzzz
