This wednesday, i was driving home with my scooter, i picked up my son from school and was driving home again. Since my sisters house is right on the corner of a very dangerous three way crossing, i usually make it across the street to drive on the other side of the bycicle road. My scooter is forbidden to ide on the road if there is a bycicle road. The BMW that was parked was parked on the wrong side of the road as well, and opened his door without looking, the distance was soo short, too short to react, even to blink. i smashed with my scooter in that door, scooter stopped and we fell. My son was ok, though he got a few stings from the nettles, i seemed to be ok to at first sight, so the person, a business man, helped me up, we filled in the papers for insurance and then i called my boyfriend, who came over immediatly. Lucky he was there, cuz later on i felt a lot of pain in my knee and shoulder. He took me to the hospital for some pics. nothing was broken ,but shoulder and knee got a serious blow and hurted like hell. Apart from all kinds of bruises i'm ok now. So far the traffic accident, could've been worse, right?
On the sunday before, i was on a percussion show and we could all try out some percussion. of course i joined up, and hit my thumb really hard with one of the sticks. Result, a crack in the bone of my thumb, and a taped in thumb for 3 weeks. So, tappi!ng the spacebar is something difficult now, and using the mouse as well, lol. Anyway, at the end of this month, i'm going to one of the biggest parties in Belgium, we call it "De Foute Party", where there is a lot of "wrong" music that will be played, like YMCA, Ma Baker etc... Usually people go there dressed up, i'm going as a hippie looking girl, but a fancy one though, just need to find some gogo boots ;D Two days later i'm off to Spain, with my boyfriend, away from everything here for 10 days!!

Good to read that not all is bad in those news and that everyone is ok... And that your scooter accident wasn't worse than a drum one, lol. One thing is sure, you don't seem to risk to suffer of boredom. ;D I hope we'll get to see you again before the party and departure for Spain, eh?

Of course you will hear plenty of me before i'll leave, what do you think? Once I'm back i'll be pestering this board again every single day, what else can I do while I'm sitting at home
In case anyone can help me, I need suggestions to get dressed up to that party, I'm thinking of an outfit from a period in music, any ideas? ;D
@ Cleg and Alrik: Thx guys, I'm ok now, the bruises will heal and you know what they say when you fall off your horse right? ;D

I'm glad the man was good about the whole incident. I've seen another scooter accident in the past. To put it simply, a scooter stopped for an amber traffic light and the car behind her didn't. Suddenly she was sitting on the bonnet of the car instead of her scooter. Thankfully she was unhurt, perhaps just a bit jarred. Again, the driver was more than considerate and helped her out.

The reason this guy helped me up and was kind, was because he was parked on the wrong side of the road and the vehicle was a company car. So I was in my right anyways.
