I posted this on Skye's board but I thought I'd also post it here in case anyone here who doesn't go to Skye's board would know.
Everytime I try to open firefox I get this message...and I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox but I'm getting the same thing. Anyone know why this would happen? I did a virus scan and didn't have any.
firefox.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Tried now again uninstalling and installed the new one this time but I now get a message
Firefox had a problem and crashed. We'll try to restore your tabs and windows when it restarts.
To help us diagnose and fix the problem, you can send us a crash report
So I let them know.

Hmmm, that is weird, but I don't know enough about computers to help you. Switch to Opera, that'll show 'em!

I use FF everyday and sometimes I get those messages as well, but when I reboot my system everything seems to be ok again. So I'm very sorry, but I can't help you girl

Try uninstalling then deleting the Firefox folder to wipe out any corrupting files still in there. Then re-install. That should work unless your Firefox installer is the thing that's corrupt.

1. You might need to configure your firewall to allow firefox to connect to the internet. Even if it has been allowed in the past, if you have upgraded or otherwise altered Firefox, the firewall might not allow it. Norton has caused problems for some Firefox users.2. Do a search at Mozillazine, and if you don't find a solution, then post your problem there.

Is it the upgrade to FF 3 that brought this problem, Karen? Or the installation of a new plug-in? If so, perhaps reinstalling a previous version and contacting Mozilla about it could be the best to do until they would fix things...

Sounds like a corrupt executable file. Or a corrupt book mark file ? Try Opera instead. ;D
