@ Fille: It's not a file size problem, Photobucket also limits the resolution size, unfortunately I can't find an image hosting program that has a bigger allowance.

@ Fille: It's not a file size problem, Photobucket also limits the resolution size, unfortunately I can't find an image hosting program that has a bigger allowance. Setting it to file size max allows you to upload higher resolution as long as your picture remains under said file size. This one is over 2000 pixels wide and a little under 800 Ko : Edit: of course needs to be clicked on for real size and non-squishified version.

Got it, thanks. I bow to your Photobucket wisdom. Actually, though I got to upload at full size on Photobucket, when I use the link on the forums here it's still small - even when you click to see the "full" size.

Weird... the only thing I would see that could cause it is if your file size was bigger than 1 megabyte so was automatically resized by their software to fit. I don't know computer maths, but it could be a byte vs octet thing? Edit: and you're welcome!

Got it. I had to re-upload the file with a different file name, even though I had already deleted the previous smaller version. I don't know if the forum was still pulling up the old file somehow or what.

I'm gonna have to agree with us having good taste, because I had that same one Flix posted. It is awesome! ;D Mine is: It's from the artist Orioto at DeviantArt. I suggest giving his stuff a look: he has a series of pictures where he reworks old Nintendo games making them look cool. His Lemmings, Megaman, Mario, and Metroid ones are awesome too. Killerzzz

Got it. I had to re-upload the file with a different file name, even though I had already deleted the previous smaller version. I don't know if the forum was still pulling up the old file somehow or what. I think that's a temporary internet files thing. You and anyone who saw your first picture on the internet had a file created that was linked to that location of the picture. When you upoloaded the other one, new viewers would probably see it, but anyone who saw the first, yourself included, would already have a temporary file linked to that picture address. So, your browser would see no need in loading another one, so you see the one you already had the first time. When you rename it, that fixes the problem because your internet looks in what it already has, finds that it doesn't have this picture's name, and loads it. Lets say the first one was named picture.com/flix/mypic.jpgWhen you first view it on the net, you computer makes a temporary image bound to that address. When you uploaded it again, photobucket may have replaced it, but when your comp saw that you were trying to load the image of that address, it's like, "yeah, I've got that". When you upload it with a different name, say picture.com/flix/mypicc.jpg, your comp says "wat? this is new, better go load it from teh internetz" and it does, and all is well. I don't know for a fact if any of that is true. I kinda just made it up from speculation. ;D Killerzzz

My current wallpaper
From Edgar Mueller He spent five days, working 12 hours a day, to create the 250 square metre image of the crevasse, which, viewed from the correct angle, appears to be 3D. He then persuaded passers-by to complete the illusion by pretending the gaping hole was real. 'I wanted to play with positives and negatives to encourage people to think twice about everything they see,' he said. 'It was a very scary scene, but when people saw it they had great fun playing on it and pretending to fall into the earth. 'I like to think that later, when they returned home, they might reflect more on what a frightening scenario it was and say, "Wow, that was actually pretty scary".' Mueller, who has previously painted a giant waterfall in Canada , said he was inspired by the British 'Pavement Picasso' Julian Beever, whose dramatic but more gentle 3D street images have featured in the Daily Mail.
