Thought it was time for a change. The cover of Mastodon's "Leviathan" Interesting picture... You have any more info about it? I think I recognize at least 2 elements 'copîed' from classical paintings in it (might be part of the concept), and I suspect more might be.

Fille: All I know is the band commissioned Romano to create artwork for a concept album centered around the element of water (and Moby Dick obviously). I don't much more about him or his influences than what's on his website, but nothing else he's done seems to be in that same style.

It's a cool piece, one that seems to have a lot of underlying elements to dig on to fully appreciate in addition to be very pretty.

The two black characters at the top of the image are Indonesian as far as I can see. I looked up his website and unless I'm on the wrong page, I also prefer Levethian, Crack the Sky and Blood Mountain.

Yeah, and the one at the bottom left is a Hindu god (that swallowed the world or something such). The wave at the right is an inverted copy of this painting and the tower on top reminded me of paintings of the Tower of Babel.

Some other dude. ;D Kon-El or Connor Kent, the current Superboy, has been around since the whole Death of Superman story from many years back. Basically, he was created in an attempt to clone Superman (which is a convoluted mess I won't go into here). After trying to replace Superman for a while, he realized he just wasn't ready for the big job, and became Superboy instead. Suffice it to say that Kon was adopted by the Kents, given a secret identity, and all the rest of it. Not a bad character when written properly, must be said.

I love the knight's crest. Where does that imago come from? From a PC game: Stonghold 2 It's a picture of "Sir William" (the guy on the cover of the Wikipedia article I put here), he is the protagonist's Lord (the protagonist starts as his squire).
