I think Blackest Night is shaping up to be better than Final Crisis.

I think you're right. FC is a bit of a disappointment, really. I think DC made a huge error by making it into an event instead of the much lower-key mini series it reads like.
Blackest Night, though, is heading towards awesome, with the right amount of build going into it and a very serious threat seemingly just over the horizon.

I think Final Crisis is going to be too big and too cumbersome to amount to anything. It's about as productive as Marvel's Civil War.

Less likely to leave a dreadful mess, I hope, but certainly comparable in terms of 'could have been good but wasn't' unless morrison can really pull something out fast.
It kinda reminds me of Days Of Future Past from the X-Men, only if Marvel had decided to make it a huge event instead of letting it play out as the single title only story it was intended to be.

I loved Days of Future Past, but I am a huge fan of alternate realities. With 52, Countdown and FC, you would think we would see more of Waverider, the Linear Men, and Hypertime.

We should. It would certainly make sense that they'd be in there somewhere. However, unfortunately...

Are you reading the Kingdom storyline in Justice Society? Last week's issue brought the JSI (I for Infinity, Inc) to our Earth.

No. I have been mildly tempted by JSA recently, but I'm not sold, yet.
More likely to pick up Supergirl which is starting to look intriguing.

I read Supergirl off and on. It's nice that DC is making her part of the Superman storylines. The New Krypton arc looks interesting and I am curious if they bring back Nightwing & Flamebird.

The thing that interests me is this idea that the press are turning against her because (In typical teen fashion) she's impulsive and can act without thinking.
I'm not sure that's really been explored before.
