She's not bad actually, I liked her attempt on Brahms, though in her age, you can hear that her voice isn't matured yet, what is quite essential for classical music and she has to work on her pronouncation. You're probably right saying "we won't know for a few years".

Agreed. She shows definite promise, though. For her age, she's unbelievable. Just have to hope she keeps at it.

Just finished listening to her debut album. Totally stunning. That's gonna be the one to chase this year, for me. Any album knocking Faryl off the top spot is gonna have to be unbelievable.

I thinik Faryl did the best performance at Llangollen. You can see the confidence and the star quality was right there. What a voice from this young girl. Definately the one to watch for long time.

Jack - she's incredible. It's rare to find an adult with a voice that good, let alone a girl her age! *** Faryl's second album, Wonderland, is due out on November 9th in the UK. I should imagine it will be available internationally pretty soon after  |

Hi Elliot I still wondering the song choice on her album? I did saw your post at HWI forum. It's good to see someone love Faryl like I did. At Hong Kong not much people go into classical music, especially for the artist so young. But it was interesting to see how she growing up isn't it? Jacky |

Jacky... I'd love to know the track listing myself, I must admit! I'd assume it'll be Faryl's version of a Christmas album, seeing as 'Winter Wonderland' is a fairly famous Christmas-y song and the album cover screams 'Winter Album'. Judging by the stuff on her debut, though, I suspect she'll go a slightly less conventional route than most. I can't even begin to imagine how good she'll be as a singer when she hits her twenties. I'm really looking forward to finding out, though! Interesting it will definitely be! |

Hi Elliot Total agree with you about Faryl's christmas album. Probably Silent night will put on the CD as well. BTW on twitter I saw Faryl was on Ready steady cook against with Aled Jones. I follow a lot of artists, as you can doubtless tell, and staying up with what all of them are doing all the time would be impossible.
If I DO see a result, I'll put it here, but it's not too likely I will...

Faryl's website has more details on Wonderland!Apparently it will include "a very special duet O Holy Night" - I can't help wondering if that'll be the much speculated upon duet with Jose Carreras? Weren't they supposed to do something together, at some point? From the way they're describing it, I will be disappointed if it's some minor TV celeb or something...

Yeah, sadly you're probably right, Jacky. Though Katherine Jenkins would probably be majorly exciting for Faryl herself. Jonathan Ansell... Well, he can sing, but he doesn't exactly excite me, if I'm honest. He's not bad, but he's no Paul Potts. I wonder if Faryl's record company will forbid her to play football, now? They have a lot of money riding on her continued good health, after all. And she's a sweet looking kid, yeah |
