Holy bloody hell! Now Diana Damrau really can sing!

I'm impressed: few can sing with that range and even fewer can manage that depth of emotions.
Actually, I tend to like different kinda styles than just certain artists.

So I've few favourite artists or singers. Btw, I'd post more Youtube vids but YT is acting up... everything is loading uber slowly or not loading at all.
Let's see: Goldfrapp. The leader singer does an amazing job of whistling on Pilots(in the few secs of this vid) and it's a pity she doesn't sing like that anymore. Nevertheless, her newer style of singing is just as captivating.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pgs93dJAZzoAlternate version of Pilots(the video is beautiful)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydNbuB6PLiU&feature=relatedES Posthumus: Oh lords... these folks are GOOD. They do modern compositions, btw.
www.esposthumus.com/+/- Hmmm... they've got quite a few good songs but it's too bad their better stuff isn't up on Myspace or Youtube. They can sing quite well in a slightly haunting manner.

And some of their music is kinda... cool.

Gotta admit that's the first time a game series actually shoved me into liking a certain type of music. ;D This group takes thousands to millions of samples and re-arranges them into music. Summer Sun is brilliant.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wcc60a7ZDuoMenomena: I like them more for their artistic flair and interesting arrangements than for the (live) singing. They tend to switch instruments a lot on stage and you'll see them hopping around a lot! And they compose by playing randomly according to a computer program(Deeler) and mixing it all together. Yes, they sounded very Christian in some of their music but they're now moving towards atheism, agnostic and other aspects.
Wet and Rusting: awesome parts in this song.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=2iqg3LVx2WsRotten Hell: a bit disturbing for some, not me though! ;D
www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0LIBCw8syAYokko Kanno: She did a very cool album where the first track started with jazz and ended with techno. Anyways, she's a composer who does many different styles including electronic, jazz, pop and many other types. Blue:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVSmiasnAukThe real folk blues(japanese singing kinda "soulish" though.):
www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-Xold7BL6U&feature=relatedSeatbelts: Tank! Again, she really makes jazz sing and the playing is vibrant instead of technical.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_25mVjKwcc Seatbelts is a musical group she assembled for some anime project.
Weird Al: He's very good at imitating musical/genre styles and with hilarious results! ;D
Erm... the next 2 groups are a very acquired taste.
Deerhoof: a lot of people complained that the music is "freaking weird". *shrugs* Choco fight is pretty interesting though most of their other stuff is very unconventional and very experimental. This is most of the pretty "normal" stuff.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Gw2sDjLCSsFriend opportunity:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1mEjrCmSIc&feature=relatedConverge: extremely loud and screaming music. If you think a lot of metal is really hard on your ears, this will be awful! ;D I used to think Emperor was hardcore but now that's like light stuff compared to this.
