There was an article in the Game Informer I just got.
Setting will be Italy in the early Renaissance years. Venice will be one of the locations, and yes, you can swim up to assassinate.
The have revamped the quest system (since we all know it was repetitive. What else...um...ah, different weapons, more variety in bad guys. A more seamless world, so quests will actually take you in the surrounding farmlands etc.
erm...from what I recall (the mag is at home) they will be basing it off of Inter-City/Family disputes with the Templar/Assassin conflict underneath. Good era for intrigue.

That sounds very cool. Anyone betting the name 'Borgia' will crop up sooner or later?

Got it today, only played the first 10 minutes of it. Not bad, can't wait until I step into the Animus though.
Also very angry that the achievements thus far are almost as bad as Soul Calibur 4's turn on the game achievement...

I got this for Christmas, the game is stellar. The controls are essentially the same but they have expanded the gameplay significantly to reduce the repetition that was a little annoying in the first installment.
The ending is just plain bizarre...

Is it wrong to be bored with a game?
I love the graphics and story but the core gameplay hasn't aged all that well and there seems to be a lot more busy work in the game than before.

There is some busy work but you really have no requirement to complete it...I mean, all the art is a waste of time really, upgraded armor and the assassin seals are almost necessary for the life gain...I dunno, the entire game could have sucked and it still would have been worth it for the last assassination scene.

Oh, that's ridiculous! Ubisoft are in danger of turning themselves into a joke, rather than a company.
