If you wrote a novel where this kind of thing happened, it would have to be a farce. No-one would ever believe a company could be THAT foolish in real life. Not and stay in business, at least!
I wouldn't mind, but even their excuse is absolutely stupid. "We weren't prepared for the demand" means "Expect this with every game we release, regularly" doesn't it? Is that really the message they want to send to their customers? That they're so incompetent they can't even set up servers right when the servers are an absolutely necessary part of their business model?

The PC probably would be the best version, if they'd remove that horrid Draconian-esque DRM - as I'm sure the graphics and framerates must be incredible on high-end PC's.
A simple disc check would've been fine, if you ask me.
Hell, even 5 installs allowed w/ revokes is more tolerable than this U-Play DRM crap.
