Apparently they're doing a revamp of the FMA series that will have better animation and will be more true to the manga. They're calling it Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. As you could tell from the title of this thread. >_> So far its all in Japanese, though it seems they've started airing and streaming English subs. I haven't seen much about a dub yet though. (well, it's still airing in Japanese after all) Six episodes have aired so far. Not sure how long it'll be. Wikipedia has the airing dates of 10 episodes listed. Anime News Network has 13. I haven't watched any of it yet, waiting to see what they're going to do about a dub. Mostly because I want to watch it with other people (who can't stand subs) but also because I watched the first series in English, so I'd probably enjoy it more if it gave me the same good ole feel. So, thoughts? Anyone watching it? Anybody as psyched as I am? ;D Bam. Killerzzz

I'm stoked. I loved the first FMA series. I'll be waiting for an English dub as well (just won't be the same without the voices).
I think it's picking up where the last series left off right?

Actually, from what I hear, it's a complete redo. Kinda like Hellsing Ultimate was a redo of the first Hellsing series. Which means we would get an alternate view to some of the general stuff, and probably a bunch of completely new stuff too. I think. ;D Can't say I'm well informed about, but that's what I've heard. i wonder if the redo is any better than the 1st one. i've yet to watch the 1st FMA.
when it comes to Hellsing, the 1st anime series isn't bad. it has a different interpretation of the manga. & i really love the soundtrack.
the 2nd one seems more serious & the feeling is reflected in the soundtrack. so far i've only watched 2 episodes of Hellsing Ultimate. yes, it's truer to the manga as it does follow more closely to the manga in terms of plot & sequence. however i miss the "it's good to be bad" feeling in the 1st series.

I stopped watching the new series after a couple episodes. It felt like I was watching the first series over again. It's alright but seems a bit toned down compared to the original series.
