Make the masses feel themselves being important so they won't complain. If the board sucks it's basically OUR problem so we just don't say anything ;D

@ Sonar: Very interesting thread, thanks a lot! Well, I originally joined the Larian forum (since I had quite a few questions about "Divine Divinity") and found that a lot of the coolest people there (like EK, Alrik, Gal, Jang, etc.) were mentioning EK's forum, so I joined eventually (after Ddraigfyre threatened to invade, remember EK? ;D). Yeah, it's a great place to relieve stress, I think without this place I'd be quite a bit madder (in the bad way, not the good way)...

@thd: Thanks. Actually, I think I might've turned a mite insane too. ;D It's a good thing I found a board that lets me ramble and sort out my thoughts while appreciating the child in me who asks "Why?" ;D Very frustrating when one is expected to meekly accept and not question. And the humor? Love the humor here.

Nah, you didn't go looking for them. But I think maybe you mentioned CC a few times here and there. Oh yeah, the banner helped. If it wasn't there, I probably would've never joined (unless EK PMed me or something) EDIT: Ah yes, EK is a magnet. ;D

This Forum is great, and I know you are too.

This is cool I figured it meant I was leading people in strange and unusual directions (Which I love the idea of ;D) OR the wrong direction (Not so keen on! ;D). Thanks for clarifying

German Larian forum member. He plays the role of an misanthropic dragon, a gigantic one who's only thoughts are around eating, chasing anyone who's going to his hoard, especially mages like Ragon ;D , and how bad the world really is. He writes so much about the evilness of the world that he sometimes makes the impression as if he actually likes to suffer. I don't know, but he writes really a *lot* about "how bad the world is", in a lot of aspects. In last aspect of misanthrophy it isn't always easy to distinguish between the role (the dragon) and the real person behind that. At least in my case. And in one infamous case his role went out of control ... Personally, I don't like him at all. And i'm relatively confident that he doesn't like me as well. He is one of the really ancient forummembers who gathered in the forums of Attic, the makers of the "Realms of Arcania" trilogy back then. Elgi (El'Gammon), Ralf, Tutamun (called Tut in short), Harganaxki (called Harga in short, also called "Opa", the short German form off "Grandfather", because he is the oldest one - apart from Big Claw), buad (the one with the infamoue TEA, always in capital letters ;D ) and Alix also belong to this group, as do Marian (the ex-Attic graphics artist, I think he's a Freelancer now although I'm not sure on that - he could be also an employee of Larian, at least he *has* been one there) and Lysandra, Queen Of Bees (QOB) (both have a baby since a few months ). Namara is also a long-time member. Other long-time members, although not from the beginning (with Namara I'm not sure) are Rei (as Sisaya in Sacred 1) and Big Claw (bigclaw6, actually the forum name of her son who has died several years ago). I think these are the Germans over there ... This is the real core of the German forum members. We were the first and we are the Elder Ones, so to say. Edit: I was just reading a reply of arvid, also one of the Attic forum members ... He hasn't been on the board since the first rumors of Divinity 2 ... And still is there only rarely posting. Others have come and gone ... The "three P" are currently more or less belonging to the ciore, too: Palahn, Pergor, Patarival. One of them (I think it is Patarival) is very active in the theatre and musical sections of the small state of Luxembourg, so to say, but I don't know much more about him. Plus Lurker. In the multi-author story there were a few more assembled: Among them are Stone and LuSer, who aren't posting much anymore (the story iitself is in some kind of hiatus right now). Plus GlanceALot, also forummember here (might be one of the oldest at Larian, too, I guess ? ). Of those who have gone, the grief is still strong for Rashida, a young woman with a very good humour, who died several years ago (I think it was 2004 or 2005) because of an internal organ failure. Still in hospital she dictated a nurse how her role in the above mentioned multi-author story should end. And this is a legacy we still have to carry out. I think that's it, a good overview on the "German Section" at Larian.

And not to forget Alrik Fassbauer (barrel builder), who had one of his poems recited by a NPC of his name in Divine Divinity, and whose post count on the Larian board makes him more prolific than Elliot here - which is quite another achievement...
