The rat may be (stupidly) brave - but the leopard is wise, knowing that it has to grow up to make a worthwhile prey...

Soo cute, I think the leopard knew that the rat wasn't much bigger then the meat itself and that he could share a few bites ;D. It's not like that tiny rat would eat that much

The leopard apparently never having had to hunt to eat and having a quiet life with a full stomach and regular peaceful interaction with other species probably accounts for a lot of the peaceful curiosity. However, it's not too surprising even if fun and rare to see... Apart from questions of food, territory or reproduction, most animals avoid confrontation or just show careful curiosity. Felines just seem to love to play with their preys though.
I don't think I would be fond of my creatures playing with wild rats, however, no matter how cute... =/
Bravery... Check this out; everything is in the attitude. ;D

So cute! That wouldn't have ended as well in my house. Litha (my cat) likes toys that move.

Hats off for that Crane bird! amazing how brave some animals can be, eventhough a bird is no party for an alligator.
