The best remedy to that seems to be... To file a complaint to the ISP. Hope it gets sorted and we have you back soon.

Thanks guys! I finally had time to call them up (ie, I was home at a point during their brief hours of being 'open'), and managed to get it all sorted out. Apparently they'd been doing some changes with their system (resulting in a couple other days of messed up internet earlier on), and wouldn't ya know it most computers/routers or w/e can't naturally adapt do whatever they did. Soooo, some changes needed to be made, and DNS this, and IP that; they walked me through it. Wish they woulda warned me that this probably would happen. >_> Nonetheless! Seems their changes were indeed for the better because now my internet is running much faster than before! So I guess I can forgive them. Killerzzz

You could even probably get away with a credit for the time you lost connection on your next bill, though; I usually let this kind of thing flow, but the ISP's are getting incredibly arrogant and get away with way too much..
I had connection issues for a while and then a few weeks ago it became so slow it was hindering even our casual browsing use (while we were paying for high-speed DSL) so we called a tech to check that... He called back the company and what came out as 'explanation' was that we were on the limit of the area that their "center" covered; so he filed a complaint, as we obviously weren't getting what we were paying for, but right that night (so before said complaint was even sent) and ever since the connection became 3-4 times faster than it ever was before. What does that tell ya...

Meh, mine is cheap anyhow. Also, it's wireless internet, so you pretty much have to expect it to be unreliable.
Also, they'd just say that if I'd brought it to their attention sooner, the would have fixed it sooner (which is true, I just didn't have the time).
But when they actually screw up big, you can bet I'll be after them for it. ;D
