Strange indeed are the ways of nature. A storm of orange dust has enveloped part of the coast of Australia, including Sydney. The Sun has a lot of pictures

Yeah, it looked pretty impressive. Michelle's mum was lucky. She flew out of Sydney that afternoon. Flights were being delayed because planes couldn't land. Somehow she managed to leave on time. The dust storm even made it all the way up to Brisbane, 730 km away. In the office, we were secretly hoping for it to drizzle in Sydney that afternoon, just to leave everything a shade of muddy red. Melbourne and Sydney have a long running rivalry. ;D The Sydney Morning Herald photo gallery.

I bet this dust storm is pretty annoying if you live there, but the pictures are awesome! Like they've been taken in sepia or something. Especially the first one, with the bridge on it, or whatever that was.

Very pretty... It must not have been fun to be stuck there though, yuck. Sometimes in large-scale forestfires we can see similar scapes...
