How is your tap water like? Mine's all clear, though sometimes it turns brown and then we let it run for some time to let the discharge clear away. It tastes dreadful though and same for boiled water. ;; What is yours like? ;D

Beautiful, not problem with it! Melbourne was rated second in the world for drinking water behind either Switzerland or Sweden, because it's all dam water from the mountains. Pity not enough was done to ensure supply meets demand. It could all change very soon.

I'm from Sweden. Our water's great, maybe the best in the world (if that wasn't Switzerland ;D). Water turning brown is unheard of, water tasting dreadful is as well.

I don't buy bottled water, I drink from the tap. The water in Belgium is also one of the best quality in Europe. I think it's a waste of money and environment to buy plastic bottles. It only turns brown when the water company is working on the tubes. Which is probably once a year.

Wait, all 3 of you drink from the tap?! Wow... ours has got chlorine and fluoride added by the PUB plants, to the extent some people suffer from fluorisis and other dental/bone complications. Perhaps one of the triggers for my arthritis(I started suffering from this at the age of 8 to 9 years old) was caused by excessive fluoride, who knows... though, as I've insufficient data to prove for or against. Anyways, your water must be sweet and delicious. Ahhh... if only it was possible to persuade the Singapore govt to change their stance on chlorine and fluoride. :/ That's not going to happen as they only follow the FDA's stance blindly.

My water at home where I grew up came from a well, so it was always delicious, and a little sweet.
I live in the city now, and the water is highly chlorinated, but I still drink it. The chlorine evaporates from a glass of water pretty quickly, and I'd rather have chlorine than bacteria any day. The water still tastes a little off, from trace minerals I guess, so most people buy a Brita water pitcher with a filter built in for that. I just put a little ice in it and it tastes fine.

Our water is chlorinated and has added fluoride, but I think it's in very small quantities. Dental problems in Australia have risen as more and more people choose to drink bottled water. We definitely drink tap water. Michelle prefers to boil it first, but I don't bother.

Like Galadriel said, the water from the tap in Belgium is perfectly consumable. I thought there were more health requirements for tap water than for mineral water here (because tap water comes also from garbage water, which has to be treated and cleaned thorougly before re-using it).

True, tap water is healthier then bottled water here. So drink away! Too bad that your stomac get so noisy when you had too much water though, I don't have that with Martini

Just came back from Australia.
In South Australia the tap water was alright, also a little too metal-tasting for my liking.
In Berlin, Germany the water is awesome! I only drink tap water.

the water in the states is full of rat poison and perscription drugs and harmones. The rat poison is put in on purpose (sodium flouride) the main ingridient in most rat poison.
