Ah yes, I read an article about this in The Jakarta Post (the most popular English-language Indonesian newspaper). It'd be mighty funny if some retired boxer who still has a lot of punching power (like Lennox Lewis) decided to join: he'd probably go very far, just by knocking the other players out.

Maybe, but I don't get the impression they're exactly wimps...

Maybe, but I don't get the impression they're exactly wimps... Yeah, of course. Even in the article it mentions the English guy (who lost against the Italian guy in the 9th round of chess) as having been a former ring boxer. But I'm pretty sure that if a boxer/former boxer could go pretty far if he just managed to knock all his opponents out in the 3-round boxing match. Of course, this would probably be a not-so-easy task, given that the players are semi-professional boxers themselves...

I don't think anyone who can't do both sides at least adequately would last through the first round of either, honestly. It's an incredible combination. I kinda hope the Olympics takes it up...

Yeah, I agree with you. Even a re-incarnate Joe Louis wouldn't be able to K.O. his opponent every time, as the boxing is only 3 rounds. Yeah, it should go to the Olympics! If not by the time of the London Olympics, maybe in the Rio Olympics!
