Interesting new developments...I'm not surprised, but I'm holding back on the smug. This is, after all, as 'conclusive' as the last lot - which is to say, it's only the 'latest, greatest'. Who knows what they may yet find?

EHhhhhh....
You do know that there are multiple points of where they state clearly that ancient men did live outside of Africa in ancient times, even predating modern homosapiens EK.
"Why does every article about human evolution in the popular media have to be a bunch of bull? It's been known for quite some time now that Homo erectus emerged from Africa at least 1.7 million years ago, and also that in Georgia there was a population of dwarf Homo erectus. Here, low and behold, the date of migration from African is pushed back form 1.7 to maybe 1.8 million years (with very big error bars, no doubt). And, even more amazingly, it turns out that these dwarf Homo erectus also had smaller brains than the full-sized ones! Who would have thought?! This does indeed completely re-write the history of human evolution.

Thanks, Terror. I must admit, I only usually notice this stuff when it shows up in the media. Not the best source, no doubt...

Yea EK, Homo Erectus actually spread as far as Indonesia through most of south-asia and India. These creatures however typically died out before modern man arrived, or were wiped out by modern man. Similar to how the Neanderthal men were eliminated, either by natural means, or modern humans.
Many people are unhappy with the idea that they come from Africans. Which is typically where the bull[Censored]theory that we don't come from Africa. The truth is, we come from Africa. I personally don't like the idea that we come from Africa, that's mainly a personal bias because I see it is a big [Censored]hole filled with primitive [Censored]s who I don't find much sympathy for.
But it was no always so. As the video I posted pointed out, the Africans used to be the most advanced civilization on earth, more advanced than the Chinese and outside of religion, more advanced than the Indians and certainly more advanced than the Europeans. The truth is things change. But one thing will not change, despite the crackpot theories of racists or people with agendas. And that is we are all Africans.

What never made sense to me was the way civilisation spread, if Africa was the cradle. Would take some cataclysm to knock the locals back THAT far...

And what do you know? There was a major disaster that happened. Their lush enviroment collapsed in the north into a more desert based region, and in the south? The collapse of trade from the north lead to a collapse of civilization dependant on it in the south. Also, central and southern africa have never been as advanced or well off as Northern Africa, or near the horn anyway.
But yea, the evidence is there.
