Ok so I saw it this weekend. Gotta say it was excellent. If you are expecting the story to be the same as the 1980's version prepare to be disappointed. Totally different! The changes to the story were right for the time, they had a throwback when they were arming up to set off and the metal owl makes a cameo. The action scenes, while Z is right could have been longer, were well done. The only part that bothered me (and it wasn't bad just weird) was that they give us A happy ending, and yes I realize that Perseus is one of the exception in Greek myth...its just still unusual! which of course doesn't happen often in Greek Myths. So yeah, it was good, I would have watched a longer movie but I was happy with it... And for all you Worthington haters, I don't see the reason, he's far from the best actor ever but I kinda like him. He plays Perseus well. |
