I'm getting used to the way it looks now, frankly.
Except that clicked links turn purple instead of a lighter/darker shade of blue - this is a mistake. Purple does not look good with blue.
And of course the stars. Always those stars. They form squares, for one thing, because their arms are equally long. If they mirrored the symbol of the Chaos logo, or like the ones Fille created in her layout, they would actually look like stars (or sort of a compass) instead of square snowflakes.

Yeah, I think you summed up the main problems pretty well: 1, The clicked links, and 2, the stars. No offense EK, but those stars look like old boxes of glow sticks.

Well, if anyone wants to create BETTER little Chaos symbols, go right ahead... Not easy at that size!

OK, those rock. If you care to send me the image link, Flix, I'll change them...

I guess you mean the star by itself?
Photobucket gives me a hard time with bitmaps - it automatically converts to jpeg, meaning once crisp, clear, zoom-able images become, well, crappy. I don't know if it will be usable or not. If there was some way I could send you the file itself, though...

Not sure how you ever managed that with a BMP. Could you save it as a PNG file? Failing that, a GIF would likely be better. EDIT: Never mind! Got it! thanks

Not sure how you ever managed that with a BMP. Hehe, I am no slouch when it comes to MS Paint. You saw my dragon, after all!

Easy. Alright, that's SO much better! Thanks a lot Flix! I would've done it myself, but I'm horrible when it comes to any kind of drawing/art, whether on PC or in RL. ;D EK must be quite happy (I bet most of us are happy, I know I am!). ;D

Flix - good point, yes! I still can't quite believe something as good as that dragon is possible in Paint. But then my own graphic skills are not exactly impressive, as I'm sure you've noticed. Dragon - anything that improves Chaos makes me happy

Yes, it is better. I still think these icons are too small for a complex shape like that not to look more like a snowflake than chaos symbols though.

I think we should have a unique thing instead of stars for each member of the administrative trio. Like, a long one that would take up the space of five stars.
Cuz it feels like we got to many colours.
The way I see it: #1: Unique thing (oo, he must be an admin or sommin) #2: nother unique (oo, he must be up there too!) #3: uno mas (and her too!) Mods: stars diff colour from members (oo, this must be the different status from usual members, like mods or something) Members: stars diff colour from mods (oo, dese must be teh memburs)
I dunno.

I'm waiting to see what you come up with, people. Because... I think the current background needs some changing.
And Elliot, no more "content is disqualified" stuff. If someone is late or doesn't have the time to go through with the scheme for now, just let them follow it up in the next contest and so on.

...WHAT 'content is disqualified' stuff? I'm not following you, Luci...
If someone doesn't care to enter this contest (Or simply doesn't have the time), of course they can enter the next. That should, I hope, go without saying.

...WHAT 'content is disqualified' stuff? I'm not following you, Luci... Ube's layout was disqualified because it came in "too late," and thus everyone's layout was disqualified. You dashed the whole contest on the rocks because of a technicality, ignoring the will of most, if not all, of the forum that a winner be chosen regardless. Really, how can you not remember this? It pissed off some people and others, like myself, lost faith in any such contests. From now on I am appealing directly to you and you only for any changes, as I did with the stars.

Perhaps because I assume Luci is talking about this contest.
You know my view already on the last, so I see no point whatsoever in reiterating it here.

I took it to mean she doesn't want a repeat of the last contest this time around.
Maybe not.
