You wouldn't think it was as beautiful if you were in the Crab Nebula EK, what with being killed by it being a post-super nova location, so much radiation and ect would penetrate your girly-man body you would die surely.  Or become a super hero.

You wouldn't know it was a beautiful spot to die in, because we only see it that way because of how far away we area. Were you too close, you'd just think you were dying in a voice of space.

Pretty pic.  Unfortunately AFAIK that's not the way the eye would see it; most of these gorgeous NASA images are either photoshopped to give them their colors or are taken at wave lengths that the eye doesn't see.
