In South America, some orcas (mostly females) developed another unique hunting method: they catch seals directly on the shore by beaching themselves temporarily, and even teach that technique to their youngs. It could be a lack of capacity for empathy toward other species, in addition to having no other mean to "manipulate" the prey...  Not that it would make it easier to see for us. |

Ever seen how someone hunts a rabbit and then skins it? Or hits a fish on a stone to kill it? The whale just doesn't care about it's food suffering - perfectly natural. |
