Am I the only one who finds the idea of Sherlock Holmes as an action hero somewhat intriguing? Trailers hereGuy Ritchie's take on the character certainly seems to be unique. I detect either a total train wreck or a wonderful new spin, and I'm not sure which...

Yeah, I'm not quite sure about this one either. It looks interesting enough to give it a watch, and the action hero angle could well turn out to work. Still, Holmes is such an iconic character that he'll outlive this film even if it doesn't.

Look, it's not Sherlock Holmes, it's a Victorian era action movie. Should be good! ;D

Another complete letdown for a holiday film. It's like they put Doyle's character into Batman Begins.
2/5 stars. I enjoyed Holmes' fight scenes and had some interesting shots. And not as long as Avatar.

I loved it! It's very loosely based on the original Sherlock Holmes, but an interesting story in it's own right.

I thought it was a great movie. No complaints, regardless of the books.
