Am I the only one who finds the idea of Sherlock Holmes as an action hero somewhat intriguing? Trailers hereGuy Ritchie's take on the character certainly seems to be unique. I detect either a total train wreck or a wonderful new spin, and I'm not sure which... |

Yeah, I'm not quite sure about this one either. It looks interesting enough to give it a watch, and the action hero angle could well turn out to work. Still, Holmes is such an iconic character that he'll outlive this film even if it doesn't.  |

Another complete letdown for a holiday film. It's like they put Doyle's character into Batman Begins.
2/5 stars. I enjoyed Holmes' fight scenes and had some interesting shots. And not as long as Avatar.

I loved it! It's very loosely based on the original Sherlock Holmes, but an interesting story in it's own right.
