Link doesn't work (for me), it shows an error on the website. I wonder why they so seldom publish real scientific works... not too long ago a scientist with too much time discovered that Giants wouldn't have been able to walk or that Barbie is anatomically incapable of living. Well, great, that knowledge will certainly change the world Cynical Kitty is cynical...

Did he take into consideration that Seraphims have 6 wings and Cherubims have 2, and they are NOT considered angels..?? Angels do not appear to fly in the scripture, they do "appear" to people. Neither do they "sing" as some of the carols imply..?? Christians who plan on going to heaven will not be passing by "St Peter" on the way in either...nor will we be flying...we will, however, be "translated" or "transported" in the spirit to that place..and later be reunited with a (our) "glorified" sinless body. The rubbish that people teach and believe as if it has any semblance to biblical truth or basis simply amazes me...

I'm with Kit on this one. This kind of 'scientific' study is a complete waste of time and money. It accomplishes literally nothing.

ss - you're missing the even more obvious criticism: assuming angels exist, they are spiritual beings rather than physical ones and thus not subject to the laws of physics/chemistry/whatever which govern physical creatures.
As such, the entire point of the study is worthless.

Yes, understood, but you also find (biblically speaking) that angels appear to people in physical form, capable of eating, etc.. even as you say while still not subject to "our" natural laws... and although such, it appears that "flying" would sorta be quaint and obsolete to them (so to speak) seeing as they can "time travel" with no problem...

This actually reminds me of an article I read once a long time ago about some Islamic scientist who had created a fantastic theory of how Efreet could be used as power sources, because Efreet are mentioned in the Koran, so must exist. Naturally, he couldn't find an actual Efreet to test his theories on...
The tale may well be apocryphal, but it illustrates the mindset involved, I think...
