The word "kine" --plural for cow is the only case in which the plural form of a word shares no letters in common with the singular form of the word.
The word "gullible" is not in the dictionary.

gullible, adj. = leichtgläubig
It is in mine - though that is a German publication. And i just found another one (American!) in which it is also...
Of course I'm not that gullible to believe anything that is posted as 'fact' in a forum that is called 'Chaos Cascade' by a twisted mind like...
*a muffled sound is heard as the incumbent poster is dragged from the keyboard*
...OK - I concede that the American dictionary I mentioned earlier is 'The essential Vocabulary of American Language and Culture' (by NTC's American English Learning Dictionary) - and in American culture 'gullible' certainly is essential.

Small correction here Cleg: Noun 1. kine - domesticated bovine animals as a group regardless of sex or age; "so many head of cattle"; "wait till the cows come home"; "seven thin and ill-favored kine"- Bible; "a team of oxen"Since a Cow can also be (among other critters) a female elephant Thus Bovine and Kine have some letters in common

Since you are obviously my kine of guy, please tell me what English word has 3 double letters in a row. Balloon has 2 double letters in a row--what word has 3?
