Fingers crossed we Brits get uncensored! I hate it when stuff gets cut out of a game I'm interested in... It has been stated by CD Projekt Red themselves that the Americans should see the "UK" version as their definitive version. So, if that doesn't tell you anything -- yes, The UK version be Uncut. It should be noted that Germany's USK has re-rated the Uncut Version of The Witcher from 16+ to now 18+.

As I wrote over there at RPGWatch:
I'm curious in how far the international "Limited Edition" differs from the european one.
Two worlds has taught me a lesson there.

Oh, please say it ain't so... This link is from the forums -- click me! GameStar of Germany has been talking about The Witcher, in their most recent podcast; it's all in German, of course. So, anyone speak German here??? Can anyone clue us in on this broadcast, if you do? Like summarize and mention anything important??? Now, from what I gather, from this thread here, is from someone who speaks German and English, mentioning what they heard from GameStar's podcast. In GameStar's podcast, The Witcher is compared to some of the issues already to Gothic 3, such as the following -- long load times, broken quests, missing sounds/voiceover issues; just to name a few things. Here's a much more positive preview on some impressions from "Review" version of the game that PC Games German magazine will be doing. That page is in German, so if you speak English, you will want to "Babelfish" that page from German to English.

In Regards To Patch 1.1From The Witcher's community boards.... And yes, you have to be a member to see this thread, so I'll sum it up here for non-members. Yes, in some Euro countries such as Poland, the game is out already...
What we do know from CD Projekt now is this: The Day of the game's Earliest Official Release (October 26th), PATCH 1.1 will be released by Atari. Patch 1.1 is done -- basically, Atari's waiting to release it on that day.Below quote is from Dziado of CD Projekt RED In Regards To Technical Issues w/ The WitcherThis thread deals w/ this subject and is from their own Witcher boards -- yes, you have to be a member to see this thread. So, I'll sum it up for you all.Below quote is from Brysiu of CD Projekt RED All Kinds of Extra Exclusives For Those Who Register Do Their GameSo, if you buy this game, you will likely want to register your copy of The Witcher right on CD Projekt's Game Registration Site. The page isn't open yet to do anything with, but it mentions their plans for this site. CD Projekt plans on releasing extra stuff for those who do, which will include these kinds of things for you to be able to download: --Patches (of course) -- Game Extensions (extra "plug-in" content)--MP3 Music --MP3 Videos --Tips from Game Designers --Etc etc.

Say what?!? That amounts to 'forget it unless you're using a Pentium' pretty much, doesn't it? Dreadful.
But then, my alarm bells start ringing at the word 'Atari' these days. They've become a byword for 'bug ridden'. Depressing, considering...

EDIT: Say what?!? That amounts to 'forget it unless you're using a Pentium' pretty much, doesn't it? Dreadful. But then, my alarm bells start ringing at the word 'Atari' these days. They've become a byword for 'bug ridden'. Depressing, considering... Basically, they're trying to tell you they're only supporting the newer and higher end AMD processors, basically... ORIGINAL POST: SDK/Toolkit ConcernsGuys, the game doesn't ship with an SDK... ...But, we can expect an SDK for The Witcher to probably be released sometime before Christmas!
If you're a member of The Witcher's forums, you can see this post where CD Projekt RED's Dziadu answers a load of questions I threw out there in the "Ask A Dev Team Anything" Thread, click here! But namely, the SDK revelation is the big news there.

I even managed to play several games with my old AMD 800 for which it shouldn't be good enough anymore, although with several problems, as I must admit. I mean that you shouldn't put too much emphasis on what they recommend, except when you're a so-called "graphics whore" (term comes from Moriendor, read by me on RPGWatch).

I ran into this game at Gen-con this year, yes it is a really good idea, the engine is nice and smooth although the interface takes a bit of getting used to. But once you get the hang of it the games does flow quite nicely. Obviously i've only played the beta version they had for show.
release date in the UK has been put back to the end of october so anytime now. Looking foward to this one

I got it. From reading the manual it sounds utterly awesome. Now I only need to get rid of this blasted RSI so I can actually play it...

Apparently, the protagonist you play in this game gets tail. A lot of tail. According to another forum, there're nearly twenty women with whom the Witcher can have sex with.
I'm hugely amused.
