I was almost positive you could give me some information on the Dragonlance painting Steve. Thank you so much. Again we are in sync because I was going to ask you later if you knew anything about it. I kinda remember us talking about it ja little.
Fille is gonna love you. You know the way she loves pic info. ;D

Kylia, thanks for helping with the pics. I think one or two of them may have already been posted, but I'm not sure. It is OK though they are great pictures and if any have then we just get to enjoy them more.

I remember Elliot and I discussing Dragonlance with you in chat one day. One of us may have mentioned the Legends series to you. Been a while now. There's some other information I can give out if you and Fille are interested. I don't mind footnoting any pics that either of you finds if I know anything about it.

Have any of you seen the Disney movie Treasure Planet? If so what did you think of it?
I've never seen it and was just wondering.

Not sure Fille. I haven't been able to find anything on it specifically. I did find this where he is talking about the big floating monoliths in some other paintings though. Well, rock represents symbolicly the ultimate form of matter. And the light inside the rock represents the Spirit, source of Life, unseen to the human eye, hidden in matter. The floating stones represent the manifestations of Spirit, guiding us, and protecting us. In parallele with this, some of these paintings were done for a personal movie project that I prepared for a few years and just presented to my agent. It might never go anywhere, but who knows... quote from Christopher VacherThanks for the info. ;D I hope that the characters in his movie project can fly, at the minimum... I did a personal search for the painting itself and still found no information on it. I did find out that there is a place in Canda by the same name though. Maybe you could go visit and see if the thing is there and examine it up close. ;D What does it look like to you? Oh, I should have said in case you guys didn't guess already... Claire-Vallée = "Clear-Vale". I don't know the Canadian version though, will have to see about that... To me it looks a bit like the half of some space/godly ship... but that fits weird with the bottom. Or like a monument made of clouds...

I like Troll Fell a lot. The composition, the colors, I find it great. The background doesn't tickle me, for my part, but the extreme foreground (under the light & trees) do somewhat in the way it lacks of finer details though, especially towards the right... Dragonlance, I like as well. (Petra, anyone? ) Vacher really has a talent at composing his pictures, placing every element in an interesting way that makes them all look much better than they would separately. Thanks Steve for the Dragonlance info. Gal, from those you posted I like the three last best. Deep colors, interesting dispositions, good feel of depth... Those [blanket-dresses] he looks to make on all of his female characters look good floating in the wind like that and look very comfy. Must certainly not be convenient dressing though... ;D Highland Warriors; the girl likes. I have a paper somewhere with it on... The Messengers is cool too. The paintings for the Treasure Planet movie are nice as well. Different from his personal stuff in objects pretty much, although he keeps the very same style. You'll excuse me though, but I'm not caring much about mushroom things at the moment... I've not seen the movie either. But would sure like to hear about those who did as well.

@ Fille I'm glad you like them, and yes, Chistopher has a great talent to make the robes float like they are. I like art where there is wind in it, allthough you can't see wind, but I like it when clothes and hair are moving in the wind.
Doesn't "Claire-Vallee" means more like "Bright Valley" Fille? Maybe you're mistakes with Claire Voile I'm checking on some info about that painting too. I would like to know what the medaillon means in the sky.

I see now that almost all of them are double posted But I found some you haven't posted yet Shan! ;D I like the Source too, makes me think of a Celtic stone...
The Oracle (suits me right?)
I do not like the woman's face too much, but the general portrait is ok. Procession

I have found something!! Not the info yet, but hopefully soon enough. I found a website where you can add comments on Chistophers paintings. The artist himself will reply on some of the comments. I asked him all about the Claire Vallee painting, so hopefully I will get an answer from the master himself very soon!! ;D
