Here You go Shan, more art! 1: Fragile- Image features- Sali (...cute person (boy) from one of Adeles books...) 2: Fractured- Image features- Dain, (i'll stop saying they are from adeles books cuz all of them all haha) an 'infamously hot' person, who everyone loved, or pretended to hate 3: Danis - Image features- ok, this one I don't know, probably some friend of Adeles' character, because it's not hers atleast.. 4: Faeren and Falen - Image features - Faeren and Falen (Faeren is the one above, and he is also the one in the FIRST picture in the FIRST post) two characters I will have to get more info on 5: It's a smile! - Image features- Falen, who is not a very fortunate person, nor a happy one (read some on him) and on this pic he SMILES, it's a huge happening ;D 6: Faeren.... - Image features- Faeren, (still haven't read about him) who tragically is dying, in the arms of Falen, a sloppily done picture acording to adele, she didn't have the heart to finish it, to tragic 7: I love you - Image features- Nobody special, it's just a picture Adele made for a friend on Valentines Eve 8: Madness- Image features- Everyone's got a breaking point...even Fenwyn. I was quite upset the whole night I drew this, and when you start drawing just for an outlet of emotion...you never know what happens. This is the deranged result, an extreme out-of-character drawing. The victim of Fenwyn's insanity is Valance. (copied this text directly from adele) ENJOY SHAN (and everyone else ofc)

whoa!!!!!!!!!!!!! those are absolutely great. now that's a real hard choice. i can't decide what i like the best. i love "faeren and falen" and "i love you" and "danis. "fractured" is very good and so is "it's a smile." (love the look on his face in that one). i wish she had finished "faeren." it looks like it has great possibilities. couldn't see the first image to start with. you fixed it. i really like that one too. the last one i really like the wings on. i think it would have been more impressived in color though. i love the expression. (looks mischievous) thank you. cool, i get info too. i like that. i can understand why you like her art so much.

Hehe glad you liked it all, it took some time to look up all the 'best pictures in my opinion' and get some info on them and post the URL etc etc etc ETC But it turned out great didn't it ? I love the characters Faeren and Falen, and the picture faeren is good enough as it is imo, if she couldn't finish it, that's ok

Well the thing about Adeles work is that it's all based on her book, 'The wars of Avenan' and thereby there is such a deep feeling to all that she does, which I really love To be honest, I was a bit affraid of that you'd go offline and not come for a loooong time luckily you came back with the most perfect of timings too

Oh I just noticed... You remember 'My turn daddy' in page 1? Fenwyn (last picture on this page) is the dad who so cheerfully played with his children there... ^^ talk about Adele making HIM out-of-character!! *ok, i just did it again. i'm sorry. i'm in a hurry and i'm not paying close enough attention to the quote and modify button. i really am sorry.*

yeah, i know how long it takes to get all the urls, the pics and the info posted. it is alot of hard work and i really appreciate you taking the time to do it. it really does add alot of meaning to the paintings to me. yeah, the pic "faeren" is good as is, but it does make me wonder what it would have looked like if she had finished it. she seems to put alot of feeling into her work and i can understand why she couldn't finish it. yeah, i had to leave for a while, and now i've got to go and get the girls to bed.

oh, that is wild. she really did do a character change on him. i would never have caught the fact that he was suppose to be the daddy in "my turn daddy" because it is such a big change. thanks for pointing it out. how did you find out about adele's work?

Oooh lots of questions The book (The Wars of Avenan) is not only one book, but a whole set of books, sort of a triology I suppose... She DOES have an artbook (about 140 pages) for sale, but I did not reffer to that one I found out about Adeles work through a 'Guided tour' in Elfwood.. suddenly this EXTREMELY impressive art comes up, and I start looking at ALL the pictures... And in her texts she has written her homepage 'Meadowhaven.com' I think... And there you can just read read read or look look look forever, + you can buy the books of course...

Um... those are... interesting? They aren't really my thing, sorry. I wish I had even a little art talent though. Venom! It's good to see you in these parts! Mobbie and arts? Now I've gotta start hanging in the art forum ... Übereil Ube too! Yep, you're stuck now... And soon you'll be addicted. ;D Muhahahaha.... Cool... didn't know her. I like, especially the first Heh, sorry for this reply being a bit late, I got logged out when I was answering it the last time and it was suuuch a long reply so I couldn't write it back then, now I can ;D - The first picture wasn't my favorite until I read the short description of it. The place that the person is in is a room, a room that show the image of a forest. It looked so comfortable and it looked so nice, so he decided to lay down and rest some. But after all, the place is a trap, and this particular trap doesn't let people go once they´re in it. The vines that has caught both his arms and legs most certainly won't let him go atleast. After reading all of this I thought it was a nice picture, and it really is detailed in a wonderful way. Like I wrote earlier in this thread, I will definitely buy Adeles work (books) one day or another I believe this is a part of the story in one of them. Thanks for adding the titles and info about the pictures. It really adds a lot to the way we can look at it. It's a bit of a job, but appreciated a lot, and we can enjoy her work more that way. No problem on the later answer either; as you see, I did as well... But that's a good side of message boards, we can keep track nonetheless. Ephemeral means "that does not last", fleeting, short-lived. I love the story; it gives a whole new sense to the picture. And it remains one of my favs even more. ;D Please, let us know of what you discover when you get Adele's book! What do you know about the picture that was awarded best picture on Elfwood? In the new pictures you posted, my favs are Faeren and Falen, It's a smile! and Faeren.... That one is very good as is... I think that the "sloppily" look makes it look even more dramatic, like an immortalized rememberance... it carries more impressions than facts. Thanks for posting all that. And feel welcomed to post more if you feel like it, too; we love that. ;D

Hehe Thanks LaFille, I will most certainly post more, since you both seem to like it About that picture, that got awarded the best on elfwood (I think it was best of the month or something, I really can't remember though...) I will go check some about it right now, be right back ;D Faeren.... is most certainly a great picture... even though it's 'sloppily made' it looks so brilliant, it truly has feeling to it.. Soon you'll see some info on the drow picture...

Yay, thank you! It seems like several artists do that, commissions for other people, and often it appears to be suprisingly inexpensive (well, relatively...). I don't think I ever saw a kind of picture trade like that one, though. I love the colors in the painting; it's unusual, too, grey and amber tones.

But to be honest LaFille... I'd rather see a coloured version of 'Fragile' than Jhael, the drow ^^ or any other pic... I like Fragile

I would love to see a colored picture of Fragile too. It is a very appealing piece. I love the expression of the face and the feeling of innocence you get from it.
